I see the edmonton track going back to NHRA from IHRA killed both the attendance and the caliber of cars at the rocky mountain nationals. It's really only that in name at this point. Nitro funny cars running in the 6's and low 200 mph. May as well be back in the 1970s. I remember being at the first RMN and Clay Millican running in a test session 4.59 at 326 mph now those were the days. It's now like rocky mountain nationals lite. Bummer they killed an awesome yearly race. Hope going to NHRA from the IHRA really made a big difference to the tracks bottom line. To me looking at the lack of attendance I'm pretty sure they felt the sting of selling maybe 50% of the tickets.
