In the final video in the version for the Horde, there was still a small scene that preceded the appearance of Anduin. A conversation between Sylvanas and Baine about the fate of Saurfang.
People (especially Alliance) miss everytime that Sylvanas could have easily killed Anduin (and everyone else in the room) before anyone could have done anything. Literally in the expansion cinematic you can see her Banshee scream and how devastating it is and that's just her normal powers, but instead she taunted him in any way possible, so the war would continue. She simply needed as many souls as possible to break Azeroth's prison doors open. Why is still unclear, but if you played the campaign as a loyalist and listened to some Shadowlands info, you can already have an educated guess, which would perfectly fit with her character. She was never "good" not even when she was alive, she was an efficient general!
I mean the greymane is angry because Sylvanas killed his son but Sylvanas had to retreat because vol'jin was dying, The aliance don't know the story of horde
Ngl, their explanation doesn’t add up to Sylvanas’ actions. If she wanted to cause the most deaths, why not just burn the tree in the first place? There’s no point in invading it. You’d save more soldiers to die later and you’d be killing a large amount of elves and wildlife.
Still doesn’t make any sense. Burning the tree means obliterating the elven population, destroying hundreds of animals and tree ancients, etc. It would be a much better idea to save your troops to go die elsewhere because you have to remember, they’re fighting a war and they aren’t even fighting the whole alliance yet.
@@bolvarfordragon1282 But she did burn the tree. We do not know if her goal was just death, since the cinematic also had a huge focus on the loss of hope.
Sylvanas laid a trap for the Alliance leaders, and used herself as bait. She knew that Anduin would behave honorably (eg. give her a chance to surrender instead of murdering her on the spot), and exploited that to the max. I'm Alliance all the way, but I have to say that Sylvanas WON here. OR - she would have won, hadn't it been for Jaina. Jaina showed up, and Sylvanas hadn't planned for that. If it hadn't been for Jaina, the Alliance would have been without a faction leader - and the worgen would have been without a leader too. I've been thinking, and come to the conclusion that since Anduin and Greymane would be dead, Tyrande and Malfurion would be distracted by the genocide committed upon their people, Velen is... tbh, I don't even know where Velen is, we haven't seen him in a good while... The Council of Three (Dwarf leaders) have been bickering between themselves and can't really step up to lead the whole faction, that leaves Mekkatorque. He would be the closest to a faction leader we'd have left. I love Mekkatorque, Gelbin is a true MVP - but I don't know if he would be able to keep the entire Alliance together in such a crisis. In short: Thank you Jaina! Thank you for saving Manduin.
I don't think she killed her people when the city blew up. pretty sure she had them all either brought on the ship or teleported to orgrimmar for safety
She evacuated the Forsaken to Orgrimmar before the batte started (she was planning on blighting the entire city the whole time if they lost)....whereas Teldrassil had thousands of innocent civilains die.
Guys u miss the horde version of seige of undercity cinematics and old soldier cinematic. That's unfair for Horde side. There is a thing in wow. If u play horde, u will see both factions equally, but if u play only alliance, u will start hate horde. It's blizzard do since the oldest patches.
Thing is, it shouldn't be that simple to "kill" Sylvanas. She basically doesn't need a body, or more: she is actually possessing her own body and could leave anytime as she is a Banshee. There's just one person in that room who should be capable of killing her, which is Jaina, as magic very much inflicts damage on the ethereal, though it is debatable, whether Alleria with her void-powers could kill her. All we know is, that the voices who speak to Alleria are freaking scared of Sylvanas and try to push Alleria to attack Sylvanas, before she gets too powerful, which most likely is already too late at this point. So, while Greymane, Alleria or Anduin could no doubt damage her body, she technically could just possess another one. - This is that Jaina saved the day here, if not for her magic saving bubble, Sylvanas would have killed off two of the most important Alliance leaders, after destroying the Nightelves home. This could have brough havoc to the alliance. But that wouldn't be good for starting an expansion, therefor they had to live. - On another rather expanding note, the strategic situation of Azeroth kind of was problematic for the Horde during Thralls reign. The core territories of the Horde were in the middle of two major ports, of which one was officially neutral (Theramore), and one was the Nightelven tree (Teldrassil). Garrosh destroyed Theramore when he was Warchief, but only after Jaina, as ruler of Theramore, allowed the Alliance to reinforce their troops through Theramore. (Which was a major mistake by Jaina and technically an act of war against the Horde, she made herself a prime target and gave up her neutrality, which cost her almost everything. She gave Garrosh a valid reason to target Theramore, though Garrosh slightly overdid it. I know that Alliance players don't like to hear it, but Jaina had it coming when she allowed the Alliance to send troops through Theramore. That's simply not how you stay neutral. Sure, Garrosh shouldn't have nuked Theramore, but either way Theramore simply had to be attacked adn taken, to prevent further Alliance reinforcements, which would have threatened Horde core territories.) - Sylvanas "removed" the second threat for the core Horde territories, the Nightelven supremecy over the northern wood regions and Darnassus. Though these regions are still held by the Nightelves and they have forced the Horde backwards, they are far from capable to counter attack. Even worse, with the attack on Darnassus Sylvanas managed to split the Nightelves from the Alliance. Sort of. Tyrande (Nightelf high priestess), is not happy about Anduins priorities and dislikes his desire for peace. - Funny enough, the BfA-Expansions ends with a weakened King on the Alliance side, struggling for any supporter within his own ranks (Jaina might be the last fully supporting him), and a strengthened Horde Leadership, as they removed their Warchief in exchange for a Council. - Overall I would argue that the Horde has kind of 'won' this war, even though they technically lost most major battles. Though they did not win the way one would expect. As the Horde 'victory' was only possible due to the Alliance supporting the Horde-Rebellion against Sylvanas. - Kind of a strange situation for Alliance-players, I think. As loyal Blood Knight of Silvermoon, following the Lordregend Lor'themar Theron, I am quite pleased at the status quo we have at this moment. And very pleased about the prime position of central Sin'dorei Leaders as Liadrin and Lor'themar and the Blood Knights patrolling Orgrimmar to ensure peace and seek out the still devoted followers of Sylvanas to bring them to justice.
I still say Jaina used cheats and god mode there not fair fight :v, I like more the horde version of the throne room scene because shows more, btw lordaeron was evacuate before the release of the blight so only alliance soldiers die on that moment

She saw it again with the horde version later np. Will upload them this week!

That still doesn't justify why she anihilates the night elves... we now know why though.
