  • Come join me for a roadie's day out with @whileshesleeps!
    In this video I bring you exclusive behind the scenes footage from Alexandra Palace, London, whilst I was working as a Guitar Tech for fellow Sheffielder's, While She Sleeps! I also do a rig rundown on all of their guitar rigs.
    I've known these guys since their first album, so I was honoured when they asked me to step in as Guitar Tech for Mat and Aaran for this show.
    It was incredible to witness how these guys still have a very DIY ethic after all these years and how much hard work from so many departments can converge together in perfect harmony, to pull off one of the most impressive live shows I've ever seen!
    Thanks as always to @riccardocencidrumcovers4100 for joining me for the trip, editing the footage and your unrelenting positive attitude!
    I'm hoping to do more videos like this in future but for now if you'd like to support the future release of more videos, here's some ways you can get involved :)

    Hi Dean
    I’m currently studying at a music college in Brighton and my dream is to be a guitar tech with a touring band, do you have any tips on how to get into this job?

    • @deanrowbothamguitars
      @deanrowbothamguitars  7 місяців тому

      Hi Frankie! As a starting point I’d look to invest in a decent guitar tech tool kit, a good soldering iron and an old guitar that needs to some love. Maybe ask your friends / family if they have a guitar that you could work on. It’s all about practicing but there’s so many videos out there to help these days, a lot more than when I started. I’d recommend the Dan Erlewine books from Stew Mac, that’s how I got started. Let me know how you get on, it’s all about practice and getting as much experience as you can. If you have any friends in bands, offer to go with them for free and start getting some experience :)

      @@deanrowbothamguitars I should be getting some work experience with some of my tutors, one of them is the drummer for The Vapours so that should be a great start aswell
