Most (all but 5) Republicans voted to dismiss Trump's impeachmen even though he instigated an insurrection on J 6.
Even if that is totally true, that isn't impeachable. Doing the worst job in the world isn't actually something the Constitution allows an official to be removed by impeachment for. If you don't like that, you need to advocate for a constitutional amendment rather than advocate for an unconstitutional action.

If the local mayor of a city makes a mistake and violates a law regulating open public meetings, 99% of the time that is not a criminal violation, though certain parties may have a civil cause of action. Just because the mayor could be argued to have "ignor[ed] the law" doesn't mean the mayor has committed a high crime or misdemeanor. (note this example is not to argue that any incompetence or failures of Sec. Mayorkas are perfectly analogous to a mayor failing to follow open public meetings laws; rather, this just shows the distinction between failing to follow certain regulations and when an act constitutes a crime).
Here, the House did not accuse Mayorkas of violating any single criminal law. They cite civil law they claim he hasn't followed, but they did not specify "not following x civil law is a violation of y criminal law". Without the "y", impeachment and removal from office are unconstitutional. I hope that makes sense and helps you realize where you were going wrong with your reasoning! Have a nice day!
