I'm going to assume that anyone who thinks Yandy and Mendecees are goals and good together must be young, used to toxic relationships, desperate, or a combination of the three.
Nothing about their relationship is goals.
It is extremely clear that Mendecees does not love Yandy, nor is he in love with Yandy. Their relationship has always been one sided. I don't like Yandy at all, she's very passive aggressive and manipulative. I don't feel bad for her because she constantly antagonized the the mothers of his children with a lie and has been caught in several lies on the show.
However, Mendecees is way worse. This is the dude that made a big deal about picking up his son when Yandy spent years being the sole parent while Mendecees was locked up. He is such a man child that he called his pregnant girlfriend and said their son was in the hospital just so he could insult her as a mother.
He only cared about himself. Yandy maintained their family for years while he was in prison, and all he can do is complain that Yandy wasn't able to be at his beck and call 24/7. To add insult to injury, while he was whining about the lack of attention he felt he was due, he admitted that he wouldn't hold Yandy down if the situation was reversed.
I'm not sure what narrative VH1 is trying to push, but if you watch their timeline video, you will see that Mendecees barely tolerated Yandy. There was no love when he looked at her, there was thinly veiled disdain.
