S: diplomats, brawler, shellstorm A: guardians, rangers, snipers B: channelers, flamewalker C: engineer Thats my opinion, my key is switching from brawlers to shellstorm, rangers to snipers, diplomats to the other two vice versa depending on the situations. diplomats are essential if you don't want any units to die or worry about their health and tulpa sentries that deals great damage and with that numbers plus diplomats stun is pretty great support plus you can kill the fell bishop pretty quickly by just using diplomats with their tulpa sentries. Brawlers are absolute tank and maybe the toughest unit about raw health and armor you've got if you are playing free plus its extra etherium extraction will help, they can be used to just take out a strong unit and in numbers with its drones can shred enemies and with ejectable pilot if you manage to save it you just got a fresh new brawler with that juicy health. Shellstorms are not only great at flyings but overall decent against anything, just great against anything and bonus annihilating flying enemies, shockbots are actually powerful and helpful if the group of shellstorm is overwhelmed. Guardians are the high damage dealer versatile melee units, just high damage are their main thing that is very useful in the game. Rangers are great defensive units but not much on damage, what makes them great is not only their toughness but also their upgrades in the tech tree, you can make one squad of rangers rush on the whole enemies and they will survive longer than you will expect, basically brawlers that exchange damage for speed. Channelers are something i don't use because of them being fragile and glass cannon, high speed and high damage but lack health and crowd control and even bad at taking down buildings. Snipers are actually very great at doing its full job even at the back of the team, yes they lack health but how would they be attack if they are on the back, also great at picking out strong enemies. Flamewalkers are decent especially at starter levels but just completely outclassed by the other two mech, their main use are against the early levels, the fenrirs, and on the first boss because they are the only one of the three mech that does the best damage against the boss and great at handling the extra enemies there. Engineers are great at what they do, but just not much of a choice in real game, and thats literally it, high armor yes but rangers are better, taking down of buildings yes but your team is enough to do it The two warriors are actually very powerful but even at that power its not worth the etherwats unless you got really nothing to use your etherwats to, better use your etherwats on improving your base and your squads as those are what you really need. To be honest all units in iron marines are powerful on their own way as there are few units in the game to fill up all the roles, but pretty much health and damage or slow but steady is all you need in iron marines
Channelers are basically scouts cuz they cant really die when travveling very fast, they are mostly immune, for me u just need good micro for channelers
I mean guardians are straight S tier, cuz you got surge protector, for instance. Like, 2-4 of them boys and the surge protector is dead on the floor 5 seconds later, including the shield casting and tankiness. The only weakness is ranged attack crowds and flying targets: ranged crowds are able to shred them before they slay the dummies, and flying units, they just can't hit them.
The difference between veteran and impossible in insane, and because it's so hard and the enamies are so difficult that you really understand that every unit is S tier. The rangers is the best strike forces. The sniper is the besd defender by far (in impossible you will have a very hard time defending) The engineers destroy tower so fast that it make you finish the attack faster The flamewalker is the best crowd damage and it's ignoring armour The shellstorme is needed (!) for flying enemies, it's not even a question The brawler is so tanky so it can take super high damage and it's super important in impossible when the damage is so high The guardian have super high damage and are good at stopping enemies The diplomat is (in my opinion) the most important in impossible, because the damage is so high you need (!!!) the shields of the diplomat for you units to not die, and the stunning is also nice for mimi bosses The channelers hve the highest damage and you need high damage for impossible because the hp of the enemies is super high, and the speed is super good as well
I would disagree with the engineers. On borealis they has so much momentum because the flying guys are affected by the lasers, the Raad portals are affected by the lasers, the flying cores are affected by them, and that's just their main attack. The ricochet can be useful against them because the crown isn't insanely big but still not just one-two of them, and that's the best use of the ricochet. Their turret stun is nearly useless because there are just core spawning things but the repair ability comes really handy! If you combine them with the diplomants, the engineers will have health to tank and they can even repair the tulpa turrets spawned by the diplomants.
Is the game good? Looks really fun and lots of new stuff, also a new storyline may BE healty for me, (i really apreciate lore) and it seems to have even more strategy Than Kingdom rush! Honestly imagine what would happen if the game studio who created this colaborated with Ironhide, they would create a perfect game! Edit: *i just searched who created the game... @@שחררפפורט I want to add for other people to see, flamewalker's burn damage ignores shield like raad's. It's not much, but it'll make the enemies easier to kill after they're out of shield.
Channelers and guardians are on the same for me, it just simply depends on the enemy since guardians can shred through lower health enemies whilst channelers can deal with high health enemies, it simply depends, but overall, I'd say guardians are better because of their bulk and consistent damage that doesn't need to charge up.
Missed opportunity to say Hello there my fellow marines, but anyways nice tierlist.I got the game for free 5 days ago and I've enjoyed it It's definitely harder than KR. Though my problem with the tierlist is that flamewalkers should be higher I find them more useful than the melee mecha.
Mechs just aren’t worth it until you get the pilot research so it revives in a few seconds. 90 ether for it to be able to die with no other unit to run away and resurrect? No.
Are you counting upgrades? Cuz you didn’t mention it, as you sometimes would say things like sniper and channeler having instakill, but not saying that engis can ricochet and heal turrets,or that diplomat makes turrets. Or that flamewalker makes mines, etc.
You missed something about guardians. They are only unit that can beat entire story mode.Even channellers can't do this.Even flying enemies they can absorb damage little but they absorb. They only struggle on nexus but support with heroes they can beat him.
I'd disagree with a lot of choices here. Engineers have the ricochet shots that can prove to be very useful when they have sufficient numbers to deal with small enemies. Snipers' weakness, the small HP, can be negated with Diplomats' shield and also, the Diplomats' shield are absolutely essential in beating anything Hard and above. Guardians are melee only so calling them S is kinda a crutch considering so many things counter them and they outrun Diplomats so much that their shields will time out when the Guardians reach their targets. All three of the mechs are really weak compared to the rest as the missiles don't deal a whole lot of damage, Brawlers can be easily kited by enemies and Flamewalkers are very underwhelming as stated already

The guardians are beasts, especially on the last world mission 33 seconds. 2 squads of them plus 1 squad of diplomats easily protect your base
2:29, you can use engineers in tyrant boss fight because tyrant is classified as a building (while being a boss)
I didn't know that!
No wonder it was almost impossible to beat it in impossible
It's a feature that makes engineers too op at bosses . And what about other bosses , they are also classified as buildings ?
Nope, not all the bosses are classified as buildings
You can try to use engineers on every boss, but they won't be using a laser if they arent classified a building

Iron Marines Impossible walkthrough when?
Probably starting of next week.
Have you noticed that the Iron Marines look a lot like Star Wars? For example: Nexus' reconstruction is very similar to Anakin's.
Yeah it does look like it in some aspects
I think it looks more like Starcraft
they literally have a star wars alien species with lightsabers why do you think it looks like star wars haha

5:03 there's a reason why there's only 2 of these things.
My tier list:
Tier S: Diplomats, Engineers and Guardians
Tier A: Shellstorms and Brawlers
Tier B: Flamewalkers, Channelers and Snipers
Tier C: Rangers
Dropguns are above all
Dropgun is the goodest boi, spent its whole life wanting pets from the enemies then releases an explosion of happiness🥰💥
Amazing
Snipers are slightly faster than marines but yeah, paper thin. If there is no diplomat around or Paragon, their survivability is low
Why I am seeing this now?!
