Thanks for your great tutorial. I discovered bead chain a few months ago, I’ve got gold coloured, silver and antique bronze. I’ve made several necklaces and I love the way the metal is visible through the beads. Thanks for showing different ways of securing the ends. I use the clam shells and crimp beads, and it took a lot of practice to get it right. I’m going to try the crimp tube ends because they look simpler and prettier. Thanks again😊.
Love, love, LOVE how you teach jewelry making! I understood everything and I want to make those necklaces (my versions)! Thank you for creating this tutorial. I'm going to watch Part 2 earrings now. :)
Hello Gina, I thank you for this tutorial. I did watch an older video you did on floating necklaces with this type of chain. I ordered everything back then and now have everything I need to make these necklaces.. I finished this tutorial and love the results. I separated the three crystals by a couple cm, and it still looks great. I wish you had a FB page so that we could share our completions from your tutorials. You're a great teacher Gina. Thank you for the time you put into these videos for us all. Lorena

I learned so much from your videos. I bought this chain in sterling silver to make something. Thank you for the inspiration and the tutorial. It,s so simple en yet beautiful.
Very nice! I've been sliding a pearl on the rose gold chain and the ends you showed first - going to try the other methods. I did notice the silver coreana chain tarnishes - the rose gold and gold-filled don't. Thank you for the examples - love them!
Yes, most anything silver tarnishes, especially in a humid environment. I keep a jewelry polishing cloth and silver cleaner in my bead room, that way I can clean anything that looks a little tarnished. Have fun playing with the chain!

Iron chain and findings turn dark fast. Stainless steal is good and some components are treated with tarnish resistant coating. But mostly, just get a polishing cloth for silver jewelry and clean your pieces. That will help.
Great video! So helpful! Where do you purchase your Beadalon 1mm round crimp beads? I'm having trouble finding them. All I'm finding is the straight tubes.
is there any way that yiu can adjust yiur camera so all your work is seen ? especially when yur picking up the beads, and when yur crimping its not all in view, thank you, my name is Rachel and im new to jewelry making and i so enjoyn all your creations,
Sometimes I can adjust it out but, it’s difficult to get it perfect every time. If I am out too far, no one can see the details of tiny components. I try to stay centered.
Dear Gina, hi, I have a question to ask: I've been looking everywhere for those great crimp tubes with the loops on the end of them. A friend of mine wants me to make her a necklace out of snake chain/beading chain with a crystal drop hanging from it. I bought some of the chain already, so I just need the tubes. What should the inside diameter of the tubes be, to fit over the chain? Thank you so much Gina, love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️
Hi, The ideal inner diameter would be 1mm, you can go slightly above that, maybe up to 1.5mm, any larger than that is just too big. These little tubes are very hard to find. Try Firemountaingems.com, probably be your best bet. I think they ship internationally.
@@GGCBeginningbeaders Thank you so much Gina, I found the crimpable cord ends, as they're called here in Australia! Luckily I found a shop here that sells them, which made the delivery charge a lot less painful 😅!! What is the diameter of your beading chain Gina? I'm asking because I've noticed that there's chain in different diameters available. The type I've got is 0.75mm in thickness, but does it come in other thicknesses, like 0.5mm? Thanks again Gina for your help. Yours Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️
Gina this is beautiful, what simple clasps do you recommend that are not too pricey but good for not tarnishing or fading? Last thing you want is to gift someone a time consumed bead weaving piece and have the clasp turn colors lol
You can buy tarnish resistance clasps, but most eventually tarnish. Most people know, or I hope they know, they can use tarnish removal cloths. I don’t really have any particular favorite clasps, I just pick pretty ones. But, you can always purchase small tarnish cloths and include them with the pieces you sell.
If you are using .6 beading chain, I tell you all the sizes of everything to use in the video. If you are using bigger chain then just but crimp end with an inner diameter not more than .5mm bigger. With clam shell cover and crimp tubes buy multiple size packages and try them until you find what fits best, then you will get a feel for sizes and types of components that will work for you. Unfortunately, there is no pre-set or made for each other components for jewelry making products of this sort. It just takes experimentation and creativity. But, it’s not as difficult as it sounds. ❤️
Here in the UK it's extremely hard trying to find beading chain that's under 0.8mm thick, so we can't use tiny beads or ones with tiny holes. I've found some that is 0.6mm but it's really expensive, it's about £7 for 1ft 😳☹😢
Wow that is expensive. I know it harder for people in the UK to find the supplies, I wish it was different, but it seems to be a fact I hear all the time.
These are beautiful in their simplicity. Minimal but elegant. Love them! (Quick nosy question: do you play the piano or any musical keyboard?) Have you tried the Magical Crimper that shapes crimps into round beads? I love mine. All of your pieces are really lovely. Thanks for the inspiration!
No, I don’t play any instruments, my son plays guitar, my intro music is him playing. I don’t have musical talent, my son and brother got it all🤪 I do have a magical crimper, I don’t use it often, on the videos, because I feel that most people have regular crispers. But I do like them.
My Mom loves watching your videos and she can’t wait to make these necklaces but she’s asking Where do we find the sizes of the chains and beads that you’re using in the tutorial?
I just bought 4 colors of this chain and thought I would have to learn by trial and error. Your video saved me ! Thanks for being a step ahead.

I don’t really have any particular favorite clasps, I just pick pretty ones. But, you can always purchase small tarnish cloths and include them with the pieces you sell.
@@GGCBeginningbeaders great ideas thanks
Question where do I find all the beads, claps and pliers that you have on your page
How do I appropriately size the loop crimps, crimp beads and clam shell covers to the chain diameter?
If you are using .6 beading chain, I tell you all the sizes of everything to use in the video. If you are using bigger chain then just but crimp end with an inner diameter not more than .5mm bigger. With clam shell cover and crimp tubes buy multiple size packages and try them until you find what fits best, then you will get a feel for sizes and types of components that will work for you. Unfortunately, there is no pre-set or made for each other components for jewelry making products of this sort. It just takes experimentation and creativity. But, it’s not as difficult as it sounds. ❤️
I think these chain necklaces are beautiful! Do you carry the looped crimp ends and other findings on your site? Thanks for the great instructions!
Where can I find gold and silver snake chains whole sale and the crimp beads + clasps as a kit?? Or all of it for an affordable price?
You can try my website ggctreasures.com
This was an awesome tutorial, do you ever need E6000 to help the keep the crimp tube on (the first one you showed)?
You can use it, but it’s not necessary and it’s messy to crimp with glue inside the tube.💕
Such a pretty, delicate necklace. You always have a great imagination when it comes to designing.
Thank you, you are sweet, I am glad you like it💙❤️
Great tutorial 🥰😍♥️
Thank you 🌹
Here in the UK it's extremely hard trying to find beading chain that's under 0.8mm thick, so we can't use tiny beads or ones with tiny holes. I've found some that is 0.6mm but it's really expensive, it's about £7 for 1ft 😳☹😢
Wow that is expensive. I know it harder for people in the UK to find the supplies, I wish it was different, but it seems to be a fact I hear all the time.
Me encantan,son muy bonitos
These are beautiful in their simplicity. Minimal but elegant. Love them! (Quick nosy question: do you play the piano or any musical keyboard?) Have you tried the Magical Crimper that shapes crimps into round beads? I love mine. All of your pieces are really lovely. Thanks for the inspiration!
No, I don’t play any instruments, my son plays guitar, my intro music is him playing. I don’t have musical talent, my son and brother got it all🤪
I do have a magical crimper, I don’t use it often, on the videos, because I feel that most people have regular crispers. But I do like them.
What is the name of the website from where we can order these ?
My Mom loves watching your videos and she can’t wait to make these necklaces but she’s asking Where do we find the sizes of the chains and beads that you’re using in the tutorial?
Try GGCtreasures.com or even better to find the ends and everything I used, try budgetbeads.shop
