    What about removing everyone who came to Britain, and are living on our benefit system, we already had Islam 89 % living on our benefit system with free rent and council tax and using our NHS for sod all. Now we have illegal migrants living it up in 4 star hotels ,being keep warm and fed, to the tune of 4.3 billion pounds per year, 16.5 billion pounds per year in aid to other countries ,when our own citizens can not make ends meet, and our own frail British pensioners are freezing to death. 5 billion in health tourists, who piss off home without paying for their treatment. We have just given the Ukraine another 3 billion pounds and given Africa 8 billion to build windmills for climate change. While our own frail British pensioners freeze to death. I think all these people who say we are living longer, need to go and visit some grave yards, and have a lot at the ages of some of the people who have died. In the last 2 years i have been to 8 funerals, one died aged 21 another 37 another 56 another another 71 another 48 another 64 another 51 and the last one 27 so it don't look to me that people are living longer. We need a PM and leader who will say sod everyone else, it is Britain and the British citizens first every time.

    My retirement account has gone down by 13.7% in the past year due to rebalancing I did out of fear uncertainty and doubt. What are best alternatives to take in other to secure a financially free retirement and achieve ultimate peace? I don’t want to fail after years of working hard.

      If you want to rebuild your portfolio by yourself, without help, I will tell you it is near impossible. Even NewRetirement and co can’t do the job of an FA with expertise, a large following/client base and experience. Vet and hire one and begin to develop a rapport.

      I appreciate this. After searching his name online and reviewing his credentials, I'm quite impressed. I've contacted him as I could use all the help I can get. A call has been scheduled.

    Countries financial challenges should be getting addressed by all the tax hikes and withdrawal of winter fuel payments. If that's not enough, mps heating bills and bills for their second houses should be reformed to zero.

      @JacquelineAnderson-t1p absolutely agree! Why should mp's be swaddled while everyone else is being penalised by the careless planning and practices of government inept policies

    It’s rubbish. Take the taxpayers money, spend on our country not on other countries or migrants who have paid nothing and are taking so much.

    Those that have worked all their lives your pension will be penalised. If you've been on benefits it will continue.

    Stop sending our money to other countries, housing illegal immigrants, and ridiculously net zero schemes.
    Support our own pensioners that have paid in all their lifes.
    And lastly can't believe you have the gall to blame Bexit.

    I think that the £billions spaffed away by the last couple of governments have a lot to with the dire straights we're in as a country. Wasted money on useless ideologies, foreign wars etc. isn't helping

    • @16Elless
      @16Elless 3 дні тому +2

      Completely agree. Just imagine if the government weren’t spending several millions a week on the “new arrivals”, there might actually be enough to go round for those who’ve contributed all their lives & the younger generation coming through. Just my opinion of course.

    Stop 16 billion a year in foreign aid. To countries like Afghanistan. And use this for our pensioners.

    Think parliament needs to look into MPs gold plated pensions and benefits first and then at the extra ordinary salaries of NHS CEOs and managers. All top level employees in the civil service and education. These people are paid well over the top. The more AI is used less people will be needed so who are what will pay taxes

    Why do so many of these accompanying pictures show pensioners smiling and looking pleased with themselves? Its a bit unrealistic as I'm sure that won't be the case

  • @McGrowlers1
    @McGrowlers1 3 дні тому +5

    They want to tackle the bloated Civil Service with their comparatively high salaries and golden final salary schemes which are so prohibitively expensive that the private can no longer afford them - but guess what you and I subsidise them with the taxes we are asked to pay.

    Fewer workers , yes you must mean the idle young a lot of whom do not start work until in their twenties , I had been working ten years paying NI and tax before current crop even thinking about work ! And Brexit , Pensioners were the only group who lost out , every one else recieved more money for staying at home or loans that never got paid back !

    This AI presentation is awful. The content is extremely contentious. The system does need reform to take account of an evolving demographic and economic landscape but the abandonment of a universal state pension is not the answer. For someone starting work today the conditions that will prevail in 50 years time are a totally unknown quantity. The most sensible path would be for government to continue a policy of incentive tax breaks and compulsory additional saving into ring fenced personal funds tailored to earnings and affordability. The emphasis should be switched to helping low and average earners establish funds that coupled with the state pension will provide them with a decent standard of living in retirement. Adjustments to the tax system could claw back state pensions paid to the wealthy.

    What exactly are Pensioners supposed to live on? How do I pay my rent and have heat in WINTER?
    Like most I also paid into my pension from the age of 16, I also paid into a work pension too.
    But it’s not enough to pay my rent and the 1st pension pays my monthly rent. I’ve only got a 1 bedroom flat, I’m struggling with ill health and now fuming that Reeves could take my hard earned pension!!!
