⚠ IMPORTANT CSS UPDATE ⚠ When logging into Squarespace, if you see the word "Website" at the top of your menu, you are using their new internal navigation! To edit the CSS of your Squarespace website, click on the word "Website" and scroll to the bottom of the list of pages. Here you'll see "Website Tools" - click on that option and select "Custom CSS" to open the CSS panel and add your code here. Becca,The tutorial helps me a lot to understand the different between projects and blog posts in SquareSpace. I will be doing blog posts for my SquareSpace website for now because there is only post content with a feature image.
Hi Becca, thanks for the comparison. I am still unsure which one to use: On one hand I like the diversity in design that a portolio offers, but also would like to make use of the categories option of a blog. I work as a photographer and being able to filter my projects by categories would be really useful. Any idea how I could achieve that with a portfolio page?
This is probably the most useful/informative Squarespace video I've come across. I'll likely be going with the blog feature since it's for a content-heavy site covering various topics. Thanks, Becca!
Thanks so much for letting me know - I'm glad I was able to help 😁Various topics is a great reason to go with a blog - those categories and tags can make a big difference for how it's all organized!
Great video again, Becca. It's a shame the best of categories/tags of blogs can't blend with the design of portfolios. Can you recommend a third party plugin that bridges the gap?
Hello Becca, I will use the Blog. I will try to change my site from 7.0 to 7.1. I have a lot of posts i my blogg 7.0 and wonder how I can copy all of them to inclide them in the new site 7.1.
Squarespace very recently released their automatic update cool! Check Squarespace.com/refresh to learn more about this update. It will definitely be helpful for your blog!
Intersting question! That would be more of a functionality (javascript) than a style (css) so I would check out the Squarespace forums for ideas... someone out there might have a plugin that can do the trick for ya 🤔 Best of luck!
Hi Becca...I'm hoping to do a website for my son who is a property investment broker. There will be a few geographical pages/sites showing property...any ideas which would be best for him (me)..Many thanks...Stevie
That's awesome! Since I don't know all the details, I would suggest to checking out the official Squarespace support articles: support.squarespace.com/

There might be a third party plug-in that could help - I’d recommend posting on the Squarespace forum to see if anyone has found a good one!
Very helpful

Is there a code to make my blog posts be oldest at top? But keeping the correct date it was posted.

Hello! Is there a code to add comments in each individual project of a portfolio?
Oooh I love this idea! I’ll definitely add this to my tutorial to-do list; stay tuned 😉
Cool! Thanks! I'll stay tuned! 😀

Hey I really like how Squarespace works, but I want to do both, can I have a blog and portfolio website? Please let me know as soon as you can.
Absolutely! I have a portfolio on my site, and over 3 active blogs. You can add as many as you would like :)
