Whenever I see the story of Itachi and Sasuke's childhood I am reminded of my own little cousin who I love so much... Before I started watching Naruto I would always poke her head and tell her: "Maybe another day, but I'm busy right now... Sorry."
Then I saw the filler episodes with young Itachi and Sasuke and the tears were rolling down my face...

if itachi wanted power he would have surpassed madara.... he chose to protect instead.. a true hero of the leaf...

Imagine after all Sasuke has been through
He finally killed the man responsible for all his pain
Only to find out that the man he killed was actually the only person left who loved him
He didn't even get to like be happy and feel accomplished
It was just ruined for him
He wasn't just told that the man responsible still lives
He was told that the only one he had left he had just killed
So it just gets worse and worse
Like omg this is why I don't blame this character for anything psychotic he does
Because in reality someone like that would most likely end up worse than Sasuke does

I don't blame Sasuke for being angry. He has every right to be. In his position, I'd probably do the same. It doesn't justify his actions, but it makes them understandable. The fact that he was even able to let go of all that hate in the end is a miracle.

He grew up with the baby brother he loved so much hating him. He bore the hate of an entire village,the village he loved almost,almost not the same,as his brother. Anyone that says there's anyone that suffered more than Itachi is a idiot
Gaara is pretty close. It's hard to compare the lives of the two, because there's so much sad in both stories, it's hard to measure. Gaara was left out of the sad life conversation so I thought I'd add this. Gaara's mom gave birth to him prematurely and died after(due to the sealing the one tails in Gaara before he was born), and his dad tried to have him killed several times and his dad's reasoning for sealing the one tail inside of him was to use him as a weapon. Gaara was so loving as a child. Always trying to be nice to others only to be rejected and talked down to and hated by everybody for just existing. Gaara also was sleep deprived because when he did sleep the Shukaku would possess him and on top of that the Shukaku had caused Gaara to unintentionally hurt other people when he himself didn't want to harm anyone. Then the only person Gaara had a connection with tried to kill him(his uncle) and wreck him psychologically saying things like his mother never loved him and that he himself never loved Gaara and Gaara nearly killed him. Note that gaara's father ordered this attack to try and "test" Gaara. Gaara couldn't even take an easy escape and kill/harm himself because his sand won't allow it. Even though he was somehow able to carve love into his head XD after this Gaara transformed into Shukaku and went rampant on the village. Afterwards is when Gaara took a dark turn and relentlessly killed people.
Every bad thing that happened to Gaara was out of his hands. He caused none of his sadness, it was brought to him, and was still hated, hurt, and condemned for things that he had no control over ever since he was born. I try to think that no matter what happens you still have an option between being good and being bad, but with Gaara both options seem null. If I was being nice to everyone and was getting hatred and rejection from people and see no solace in all of it I would probably hate the world too. Especially at a young age and having where you aren't cognitively prepared to deal with such a big emotional burden.
Of course Gaara suffered horribly as well,im not saying Itachi was the only one who suffered ,im just saying i feel he suffered the most. Gaara of course suffered greatly,but eventually he did find reconciliation as he eventually found friends in and outside his village,he gained people who truly cared about him and loved him,he accepted the love of his siblings and eventually became Kazekage. No kind of reconciliation was given to Itachi till after he died and was reincarnated, and even then all he got was a fight alongside his brother and got to impart a few seconds of words and a bit of his memories before returning to the after life. Im not saying Itachi was the only one who suffered,but i feel in my opinion he definitely suffered the most.

Sasuke has the best character development from being and kind kid, to being angry arrogant pre teen. To being an insane arrogant vengeful teen. To a brave powerful intelligent respected and o.p. Shinobi, Father, husband, Friend, teacher, uncle, and mentor.sasuke is by far my favorite naruto character and itachi is a very close 2nd. I always thought uchiha were like lions prideful, powerful, and passionate.

Itachi had no choice if he didn't kill the clan the leaf village would've killed the entire clan along with sasuke and himself. He did it so sasuke could live. Idk if your up to all that yet but that's the reason why

+Jaavon McLean No it's not a forbidden jutsu,many Sharingan techniques such as Inzanagi or Inzanami are considered forbidden however. Another thing I should point out is Itachi never killed Shisui, he killed himself by crowing himself in the Naka river in front of Itachi,that's how he got the MS.
Itachi and shisue are best friend but shisue died because of Danzo :(🌚🌚🌚
