I have the new Supemax 25x2 ES. They make Awesome machines. I used to have the Perfomax 22-44 Pro for years, it served me well. It's great how easy it is to change the sandpaper on their machines.
I have a Performax 16-32 and I was having trouble getting the inboard clamp to grab the paper. I appreciated your nice clear view of the clamp. My inboard clip is a little distorted but thanks to your clear view I was able to straighten it out. Subscribed/
Thought you would open comments on your Mar 14 video but since you didn't. I just wanted to congratulate you on your 6 year anniversary of making videos for us!
I'm always envious of your drum sander, John! Always looks so handy. Some day I'll have one haha. Also I really like your float frames. Im going to have to make some of those! Also, a year or so ago +Matt Cremona showed how he was able to save a lot of money on abrasive for his drum sander by buying bulk rolls and cutting them him self. He made a template out of wood traced from one of the original sanding wraps, lays it down and cuts around it with a razor knife I think.
Thanks for the video! I have a SupperMax dual drum sander and having a problem keeping the paper on. It keeps breaking off at the inboard drum end even with a very light load (both drums). I was hoping I would find something I was doing wrong that I was doing but your procedures is much the same that I'm doing. I'm going to replace the clip holder and see if that works.
at 1:08 you go in front of the spring? Have also seen vid when a tuff tool is used. I kept trying to feed the end behind the tail end of the clip at the right, and it never reaches, so ha, if it can go in front of the spring, that's great... Please advise if you have the time, thx.

Hi Jon, was there any particular reason you got rid of this machine and got your new jet open ended Sander?
Easy, peasy....nice framework. What do you do with the old sand paper?
how the heck do you get it to fit tight at the spring clips? it burns my piece because it sits proud of the drum at the ends.

I wish my Grizzly G1066Z was that easy......had to switch to velcro.... Thanx Jon looking forward to the bee vids.
Bees! Bees! Bees in the car! Bees everywhere! God, they're huge and they're sting crazy!
I wish my JET was that easy. This is how it should be designed
instead of the crazy way the JET is.
Ok but what about the direction of the arrows on the backside of the paper??
I've got the same question. surprised, after 12+ months, nobody has addressed this!
But you don't explain how to feed the belt through the clamps?!?
wow nice.
That doesn't look to hard to do at all, Jon, of course I'm sure you've had some practice in the last 15 years :>).
