    A= (pi/4 )* (.008m)^2

      question. A = (pi/4)*(r)^2. why is it we are taking the whole diameter but not the radius?

      The reason we do not take reactions:
      - Rigid beams with everything on equilibrium.
      - The problem is statically determinate.
      - Only looking for force AB.
