Cube 52 was my favourite purchase of 2023. I bought it as a trick not realising that I was actually buying a whole new offering. This is of equal standing. I love how much it has been possible to take my favourite Oil & Water, Triumph, Out-of-this-World, Zenner match etc., routines to levels of engagement that I had never thought possible. Fillers have become closers.
I knew I wanted this as soon as I heard it was going to be released. My favorite inspirational quote is “It’s always darkest just before it goes pitch black”-which I’m sure isn’t part of this effect-just one I saw a few years back. Thanks Craig. I predict a record breaking release!

Honestly, I tend to stay away from marked cards because I usually can't see the markings. However, with so much going on in this deck, I think I have to take the plunge? I will also say that $40 for a pack of cards is also something that would put me off but again, with so much one can do with it, I think the price is justified. Having just this one thing in my pocket would be enough not only for intimate performances with ppl I know but if performing "Jazz" mentalism in an impromptu situation, would be ideal. As a mentalist, I'm often asked to do something and while a center tear or psychological force will often serve me well, I could see this being my go to piece in many of those situations. So Craig, forget about what Loyd Barns will say because had you not exposed the pack , I would not have wanted it. Thank you for releasing another utility item suitable for EDC and on the spot performances.

On the strength of this video I bought Evoke. I am delighted with it. I've been working my way through the nine hours of video tutorials, taking notes as I usually do so I don't have to keep going back to the videos. A labour of love, I hear someone say! I've been doing this in 20 minute chunks over the days which gives me plenty of time to familiarise myself with the deck and practice handling them. As I write this I am on part five so I'm practising displaying the deck faces with a Charlier shuffle. I've never used that before but it seems to be a perfect way of introducing these cards. I have to say that watching Pete Turner fool Craig with Craig's own product was very entertaining. Thank you Craig for my best purchase so far this year. 👍🏻🤓

This is a landmark change in cardtricks. This sucks in the audience that would normally be resistant to card tricks. Some card tricks do get a reaction of surprise, but also a question of "What just happened, did I miss something?"
It appears that you have a 20 minute, very personal, and emotional act that leaves your audience of one or more with a reaction that a normal deck of cards can't produce.
More than that it's a trick that can be completely revealed to us prospective buyers before we buy it. So good to see Craig addressing that problem and taking tricks in a brand new and genuinely useful direction. This should be how all tricks and gimmicks are made in the future

It’s easy to see why you’ve been working on this for 2 years! You can literally hear the passion in your voice and see how you’ve left no stone unturned. Theres been other Mentalism decks, but they don’t evoke (sorry couldn’t help myself love puns lol) the same experiences. Plus even if they’re marked and use a stack, it’s another stack you have to memorize. Like you my eye sight is dreadful and most markings I can’t see. Phil Smiths markings for those are super clever. I literally was chuckling out loud and said “F*ck that’s clever!” after seeing the markings pop up on the screen. The amount of features built into this is absolutely crazy! I’ve not been this excited for a new release in a long long time. Can’t wait for this one.

I don’t even own the product and I’m already thinking of ideas doing color changes but referring to them as “mood swings”. I’d love to see a “Wild Card” expansion for this with a presentation about how one persons emotions can influence those of the group. Like how one positive person lifts everyone up or how an energy vampire brings everyone down. A double backer would be great also. These are just some ideas. I know that there is so much already built in to this deck to keep me and my participants busy for a long time to come.
I don’t usually get hyped for products, but I am for this one!

Love the look of evoke but what I was wondering is although this is a mentalism project you did say that some the routines could only be done with the deck in a stack formation & this got me wondering: doesd this mean that sleight of hyand has to be used in this project at points or are there routines that are self working with the help of the deck markings or am I completely misreading it?.
Most of the routines are totally self working although there are couple of routines that use sleights.

@magic-tv what more is left to talk about? Amazing deck of cards and it literally encompasses a plethora in itself. You have come up with a concept that underlines most principles, be it MOABT, markings, emotions, literal audience engagement and yet it can be classified as a intermediates' trick. I cannot wait to get the cards and go through your teachings for over 4.5 hours. Great job done and also the trick is super affordable.

I think at this time, the most important piece of information for me is whether these cards are plastic or paper. I hope these are plastic so they are long lasting and easy to clean.
They are printed by the USPCC on standard card stock. I’ve been using the same deck for well over a year almost nightly and they are still fine. Plastic wouldn’t have been as authentic

Well, i am late to the party. For some reason, i had not even heard of Evoke before seeing it as one of the top sellers of the week on Magic. As soon as i saw "by Craig Petty that in itself made me more than interested. Watched the trailer and now watched this video. How can you not want this! You seriously outdid yourself with this deck i am ordering it express shipping as soon as i get paid thursday! You are the man Craig!
I applaud your reveal. I had heard whispers about evoke and had no idea what it was. When I saw the trailer, it was obviously mentalism and I do mentalism now and again. It very much depends on my audience. But with your candid reveal of this, you can make a decision as to whether it's for you or not. If you don't like the effect(s), then do something else, if you do then you know what you're getting. So well done. I hope Murphys are not too upset.
Magnificent Project! I never thought Evoke would be this impressive…A Trove of Mentalism Gold! This could easily be marketed in a much higher price rate. This is a no-brainer for those who love mentalism. A strong candidate for the Trick of the Year !!

I know I'm very late, but there should be a link printed on the inside of the packaging under the box of cards. (I think. I don't own Evoke but I own Cube52 which looks to be packaged in the same way).

I’ve retired from mentalism for almost 13 years now. But this is something I definitely want. It looks stunning as I know Phil Smith can. It looks so stunning. And even though it’s not my job anymore I can see me using this has a corner stone to some cold reading.

It’s nothing like it other then there is a stack involved as part of the method
The premise is different
There are 26 cards and not 10
The marketing system is different
The info they get is different
The routines are different
The tricks involve images and emotions not facts
There’s more differences but there’s a few to start with

This looks really, really good. The markings are so Phill Smith. He has some effects that have similar multiple marks. I really like this theme. You make these usually very tacky dentist posters meaningful. I am looking forward to seeing upcoming videos with the Matt test as a culmination. This should feally be up his alley. Well done, Craig.
reminds me of Luke Jermay's "Emotional Intelligence", but on steroids! Super cool. I've been doing an emotion card mentalism routine for my psych students for about 3 years.
