Vigil: The Longest Night - A Soulslike-Inspired Metroidvania | Crit Hit Reviews

Hey folks. Real life more or less suplexed me last week, so I apologize for the lack of Vid. I'd have written a community post about it- but we're not quite at 1 k yet. Soon! And then there'll be a few things to announce.
That aside. This week, I'll be talking about a review title I've been dabbling with for a while. Namely, Studio Glasshearts challenging Metroidvania, Vigil: The Longest Night. This review was actually delayed a fair bit, since I was waiting for a number of content drops to finish. That said, it's finally reached a point where I felt comfortable covering it ~ So the question remains, Did The Longest Night make for a drab experience, or was Vigil a victorious addition to the Metroidvania genre?

The original game was damn rough around the edges and poorly balanced in several ways, but now I might actually give it another try. Most useful review.

I'm still hoping we'll see them come back at some point. The DLC was so good.
And watching them take this experience to the next level with a new game? ...
