Anja Was just going through some of your older videos. Came across the video where you informed everyone that you were coming out. You are a wonderful person with a kind heart and it shows with every video. Your dedication to teach German is remarkable and we are all grateful. Love what you do. Enjoy life, your positive attitude is an inspiration for everyone!! Love from Canada. Jennifer and Duncan
That was actually really funny and informative. And it's definitely something one does not usually learn in books and in your average german course. Gut zu wissen!
Anja ive been wanting to learn the father language for years, ive watched about 4 videos and you are such a delight to watch and an amazing teacher!!! so thank you for your selflessness!!! such a blessing!

Very interesting video! :D You are an excellent teacher! Love from India! I have a small request: Can you make a video about what to do when 1) inviting German people to one's house OR 2) visiting some German family's house ??

💀I am trying to learn German but it is very difficult and different, the words are quite long, but I swear by God that I will learn it Greetings from Spain🇪🇸 Anja
Why is it that sometimes you end the verb with -en and sometimes with -t. Like in the example "Sie hat mit ihm geschlafen" and "Sie hat mit ihm gepoppt?"
Like English, German has two varieties of verbs, "strong" verbs and "weak" verbs. Weak verbs all follow the same declension pattern that you can read in any table; every person case and every tense ends essentially the same for all weak verbs. In the past tense, then, all weak verbs end either with -t or -et, usually depending on whether the root ends with a consonant or a vowel. Strong verbs are called strong because they are not weak; that is, they break standard declension in some way, almost always in how they form past tense and present third-person singular (and other more exotic tenses that beginners don't need to worry about). There are many subvarieties of strong verb that have their own consistent patterns, but usually you have to just memorize how every strong verb takes the past tense. In this example, 'poppen' is a weak verb (and so declined like all other weak verbs) while 'schlafen' is a strong verb. If it were a weak verb, the present third-person singular declension would be 'schlaft' and the past tense would be 'geschlaft' (since past tense in weak verbs is 'ge' + the third person present singular). But this is not the case. Instead, the TPPS case is 'schläft' and the past tense is 'geschlafen'. The are a few verbs that rhyme with schlafen that follow the same strong pattern, in particular schlagen (to strike/hit something), whose TPPS is schlägt and whose simple past is geschlagen. Hope that helps!
Wow. High quality. I won't have to live through hearing "Du bist ein Fehler!" whilst getting slapped, or what Carlos has in store, either. German teacher Anja is like no other.
Anja Well done and humorous video. Starting to learn German. Apologize for spelling your name wrong in your last video! The scenery is beautiful. Where is it? Jennifer and Duncan
Hey, you recycled this one from an older video, but that's ok, this one is more complete and just as fun. Keep on bringing funny and interesting videos.

I'm interested in knowing the response to this question.

So many ways to talk about "make LOVE"
This video makes me to laugh SOOOO MUCH!!!!!
YOU MAKE MY DAY!!!!
We (in the USA) also say "they're at it like rabbits." The "it" is the euphemism, and it's clear from adding "rabbits" what is meant.
Danke schön Anja!!
