Dirk bogarde was one of my favourite film stars I loved his sense of humour and his wonderful acting he was so passionate and sincere as an actor. And of course so handsome I was married with four children and did not have much time for reading until one day I was staying at the seaside on my own a few years later and decided to look for a book to read yes it was Dirk bogardes autobiography I loved it and felt I had to write and say how much i had enjoyed reading it I was so surprised when I received a postcard from Dirk and after writing again I received another postcard. I have always admired him as an actor and now a genuine lovely person he found happiness living in France and I am happy that he was content.
“Has it ever struck you that life is all memory, except for the one present moment that goes by you so quick you hardly catch it going?”― Tennessee Williams.......
What about his romance with French act Capucine according to Garett Forwood “Dirk was very much in love with her so was I but he stood a better chance than me I think that Dirk did propose to her and If she had accepted I think they would have married” if anyone had known about Dirk I s and Capucine s romance it would have been Garett Forwood/.
it took a tremendous amount of courage for Dirk to make Victim in 1961 Fourteen years into his film career when Dirk was at the height of his fame and popularity. When being a gay man in Britain was illegal. Victim helped to get the law against homosexuals repealed.
You'll find the John Mills programme on here but I fear Kenneth Williams and Vivien Leigh both fell foul of copyright claims. The Alec Guinness documentary is unfortunately in very poor VHS video condition and therefore not good enough to upload. Those are the only ones I have.

Beautifully produced film. Thank you.
Gran actor, uno de los mejores nos deja el testimonio de sus films y podemos seguir admirándolo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🇪🇸
Thank you very much.
LOVED HIM!,
Ever, Dirk. The Bogarde letters that's the book that shows the real real Dirk- not the autobiographies
His hands were tied - he lived at a time when it was a crime to be gay

Best Sydney Carton.

Dirk
Keywords used "Lifelong companion"
‘he never married of course’ and ‘lifelong companion’ are code for he was homosexual; perfectly acceptable so long as no one spoke of it.
Do you have any of the other 18 shows you could add?.

@@adam28xx Thanks for reply.
absolutely love dirk Bogarde so its such a thrill to watch his biography thanks so much adam28xx for this wonderful upload......
He’s quite contrary with the interviewer at a number of moments.
If only he’d have come out. He’d have been so much happier instead of being waspish.
