Thank you for sharing this story as I am now living in Europe (Spain) My Grandfather (Arlington Cemetry) WW1, and My Farther WW2 /Korea (Quantico Cemetry) all are Buffalo Soldiers🦬🦬💪🏾💪🏾✊🏾✊🏾. I was told about the treatment of the military by these Strong F❤B🖤A💚 Soldiers from my father and my uncle. I am sharing this kind of history to my friend's here in Europe and my friends form Africa, where there is a very large African population in the Southen part of Spain.

I remember him as Merrill Nareed but his birth name was Merrill Anderson. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943. What a great friend and sadly I last saw him in 2000. He's since passed away. He encouraged me to get in touch with my father who was also a World War II veteran like himself. My father was a tanker with the 761st Tank Battalion during World War II. Brother Merrill gave me a copy of Hit Hard by David J. Williams which is an of the 761st Tank Battalion in combat during World War II. I miss Merrill Anderson. I enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in 1981, going to boot camp at MCRD San Diego California in 1982. He's originally from Ohio but I knew him in Kansas City Missouri where he was married.

There are several MPM Associations and Auxiliries around the nation. If you listened to this video, I encourage you to join the National Montford Point Marine Assn. and/or attend their monthly meetings. The Philadelphia Chapter has a few living legends that attend.
