I agree with her. You gotta say your name and the name of desi stuff the same regardless of what language you're speaking. Why shouldn't we Indians expect people to pronounce our names properly. A British guy would expect you to say the name Cole or Harry properly.
Internalised racism is real, acceptable, normal and sometimes glorified just like he's doing in this video. And the racist whytes are mostly responsible for this but so is the Indian people as well. Nobody is coming to recognise and accept you if you believe and follow the things about yourself manufactured by others and those others are mostly racist whytes.

The pronunciation of "/r" for example is different in native Hindi speakers and native English speakers and there are more such sounds that differ so it becomes hard to switch back and forth between these sounds. It also sounds odd. And If i'm talking in Hindi and have to say the name Harry, i would pronounce the /r sound just like i do Hindi words with /r in them. Again, If i say "kaise ho" with Hindi/Indian accent and "Harry" with English accent, it'd sound odd. So it's either complete Hindi Accent or English Accent There're also more reasons i say things this way.
@@Younitalk Yes the /r rolls in a typical American accent but I've heard Japanese, Vietnamese and Latinos speak in normal American accent with the rolling /r but when they are enunciating proper nouns that are words from their native language, they always stick to the native pronunciation. Who cares about uniformity of accent? Cultural pride supercedes that.
