Himmel met Frieren when he was a child. Frieren stole Himmel's heart as a child with the spell. Himmel spent his whole life as a cherry boy(virgin)? A saint Himmel.🥺
Lernen, the first first-class mage is not 250 years old. Serie only started the Continental Magic Association 50 years ago as Richter stated in episode 20.
If you go back to episode 2, to the flashback where Frieren is first shown doing the Flower Field spell, Heiter and Eisen have this reaction of childish wonder to seeing it, but Himmel just has this fond smile of nostalgia on his face, because he's already seen the spell.
First of all, I'm a little sorry if my English is a little strange because I don't understand English. Also, please understand if this seems like a long post. First of all, the reason why Frieren tried to fix the cane for Fern is probably because Frieren is kind. And Richter called the wand that Frieren brought him trash, but he apologized to Frieren. Richter was a kind person. I think this episode is an amazing story and the most beautiful story in Frieren's history (probably in Season 1). The first one is about the fluctuations in mana. What's amazing is that Lernen notices the fluctuations in Frieren's mana. What's even more amazing is that Fern noticed the fluctuations in serie's mana. Perhaps Serie was limiting mana. And the story goes that Fern saw through it, the fluctuation of Serie's mana. From what I saw, it seemed like Serie had far more mana than Frieren. Another thing is that when Himmel was still a child, Frieren showed him the magic to make a flower field appear. I think Himmel was already in love with Frieren from around this time. In that case, Himmel is extremely single-minded. It was also in episode 14, but it's really tragic that Frieren didn't realize Himmel's feelings while Himmel was still alive. I think the reason Frieren failed is because so many others passed the second exam. Or maybe it's because I didn't have the image of Frieren becoming the first-class mage. Normally, she should have the skills of a first-class mage.
It's worth noting that magic was seen as an exclusive ability for demons before Flamme convinced Serie to let her attempt teaching it to other humans. When it finally happened, it was taught as a weapon in the war against the demons. It's therefore very likely that magic wasn't a regular part of life for most ordinary people in Himmel's youth. Magic was for killing. Telling her that seeing her spell made him think that magic could be beautiful must've been touching for her. In hindsight it might be for that very reason that Frieren has such an avid interest in collect weird folk magic that produces random effects. Magic to make warm tea or bitter grapes. It shows that ordinary people are using magic for whatever they want. It's frivolous, yes, but it also gives you a palpable sense that magic is becoming an integral part of life for people outside of the battlefields and palaces of the powerful. As she said: she couldn't wait to see all sorts of new spells.

My dude loved her his entire life. From the start to the end, and beyond(?)
The second season of Frieren has been officially announced 😊

This is the first time I've seen anyone suggest Serie could be suppressing her mana before it's revealed. Amazing deduction!
