This is a fantastic clip, definitely one of the best dance routines ever. The musical arrangement is superb. I wonder who did it?
The music arrangement Mark Hummel, orchestration Michael Gibson, choreography Alan Johnson. Thanks, it was a great time!
@@markhummel8907 Hats off to you three,, tremendous what you did. I'm full of admiration for what you did. Curious: difference between music arrangement and orchestration?
@@afellini4576 The arranger figures out the correct musical key for the artist, how the number is accompanied, how (or if) there might be a dance section, highlights with musical accents the performers movements, modulates if needed, etc. An orchestrator decides what instruments work best for the piece and can utilize the orchestra best for the style that is required, etc.
Dance is Chita's religion!
everyone look for Rob Marshall (director of CHICAGO< MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA, and NINE) back in his dancer days in the chorus here :)
Oh..and Chita.
who choreographed this? Fosse?
The wonderful Alan Johnson choreographed
Joe Layton. All over it.
