Can jHipster simply generate a rest based microservice for me, and will it be any different from spring boot microservice. I don't really want to use lot of things here, more happy to do them myself. Such as No Splunk, a microservice with no UI, no DB and use my own Gateway, such as Apigee

why dont you use spring boot?
You need to mention that the video is devops intensive other than the tutorial.....
