My suggestion, craft a respawn anchor... all it takes is one of em in the right place and it will instantly kill your opponent. When ever I PVP I go around a corner or over a hill and when the person chasing me follows behind, the minute they turn the corner or peak over the hills edge I fill the anchor and blow them up instantly.
