Did you know that being alone doesn't mean that you're lonely? Having the time alone can be beneficial to your overall well-being. Watch this video to learn some tips on improving your well-being. How should i said 'no' if my friend ask me for some favour (fovaour that was way easy to do) and how to make that my mind to transfer the negative way to positive way?
Look at what they're doing to get those friends. Don't be jealous. Love yourself and you'll attract more friends. Just make sure they don't spoil your greatness.
Don't be, because out of all those 'friends', how many are actually REAL friends?? You never know what goes on behind the scenes. I rather be alone than to have a lot of fake friends around me who probably don't even like me for real!
I think even people with lots of real friends can often feel lonely. As soon as I realize everyone is working or lives somewhere else, I feel so lonely. I struggle to have fun on my own and when I'm not having fun I feel sad and bored. Edit : If only us lonely people could all chill together and have a good time X
you'll always miss something when you're quite often surrounded with alot of people. im feeling more lonely than i could ever imagine which is why im seeking to enjoy solitude since i got used to being surrounded and when the time actually comes that you happen to be alone you have this sort of fear and loneliness that you haven't felt before since theres not much u can do about the situation as usual since you cant just go ahead and reach out to other people in that particular situation but LONG STORY SHORT im trying to embrace solitude right now because i dont feel right
When I'm alone , I don't feel lonely . Music , tea , snacks , books , plants , phone , TV and bed makes me feel like I'm having a really really nice time . When I'm alone , I enjoy listening music a lot . I can listen the song FIRE right after listening STAY . Haha .
Enjoy solitude, never let her go. Things would be a lot easier right now if I had, instead of taking the tempting hands of friendship. After a few years of never really being alone you forget how to enjoy it, leaving you woefully unprepared for when friendship abandons you and you're more alone than ever
I can't handle loneliness anymore. Which sucks as an introvert. Alone for over 20 years, perfectly happy reading for 12 hours a day when not working and saying less than 10 words, life is great. Then you meet that 1 person at work who's able to break your shell and makes you go "I have a friend!" and turns into the closet of relationships. Suddenly you're never exactly alone, don't read a single book. Years go by, together constantly. Alone time is rare but you're happier than ever, life is still good, may as well stay the course. Then you lose said friend for whatever reason and you're more alone than ever yet you can't enjoy it, still can't finish a single book, you just don't remember how. Now life isn't so grand, and you're in a maelstrom, caught between the friendship you no longer have, and your old friend Solitude who won't take you back either
but the thing is some people like me can never be contented since no matter how much we try to get to where we want nothing happens almost like its impossible
@@yaurfeiussystuhncc do you ask too much of yourself? Are you looking for alterative ways to reach your goals? Are you taking small steps to getting where you want to be? These are all considerations for your journey. I wish you well.
I enjoy: - learning new things - take a walk/ ride bicycle for at least 4 hours at once / go to a gym - listen music. No. Not just play it in the background but listen all the notes, count the rithms, feel the groove, analyze the art behind it. (no I'm not listening pop, rather jazz and progressive metal, Eg Miles Davis or Tool) - also like take poems apart and analyzing them and going under the abstract world. - handicraft - making a good meal And the most unusual is: I love washing the dishes: it's a meditation or a physically alone time while I'm doing some practical good. Most of my great ideas come during washing the dishes.
@@FlamingBeat it's ok bro if you really want to be with your crush then take an action to be with her. just take it slowly we don't know her crush doesn't have interest on her. if she doesn't like you and reject you try again then try again if you really want this person you will never give up. but yeah just take it slow. have a nice day.
2 years of loneliness is enough. I have seriously dark thoughts. Being alone after losing my mother made me realize how I really have no outside relationships. Tried to open my heart and got it shredders just to findout it was a lesson. Now stuck and can't move forward. Even activities I loved have no meaning.
Some of what you're saying is familiar to me. My loneliness is caused by an illness that sprang up from nowhere at 22. I don't know if this will be helpful or not but here is one of the ways I've managed not to completely lose it. When I find the things I used to love no longer make me feel happy, I literally just try anything I've never even put on my interests list. For e.g. I've never been a fan of the scientific. Although I still can't understand half of what Brian Cox says, I have looked around at the history of scientific development. Discoveries! I now run a small Facebook page on unusual objects, with games, info and fun bits and bobs. I've taken up etching. And other things. I've even found that doing this has helped me to pick up the things from before. There's now so much to choose from. I have no idea what might work for you but maybe this might be worth a try. Once you learn to be happier with who you are, you may find it easier to make connections with people who are not taking advantage of your loneliness. Good luck and don't give up.
@@annagettings4675 Thank you so much. I have always known I was different and had to endure much more than others. Just this time the test is different. It is like realizing everything you where told about giving and receiving was a lie. I need to find something to get me to my happy place before I completely give up hope.
I feel you, it's hard. yoga exercise and meditation have helped me a lot. Meditation has helped with realising that a lot of the loneliness I had was just thoughts about being lonely and anxiety in general while when I didnt have thoughts I was lonely I didnt feel lonely so being present by meditating helped/helps a lot.
so many people give me great reasons to hate them so i just hate being around anyone other than my close friends. but even hanging with close friends is draining for me idk
I'm not an introvert and I hate being alone, people unfortunately only push me away and it comes crashing down everytime. I wish I was alone by choice which is why a video like this really helps me, thank you for making it
I'm an introvert, but I also don't love being alone as an introvert I don't like being alone I just like to be surrounded by people I like, but I feel like poeple don't like me as much as I do I always end up loving more in a relationship either if it's friends, cousins or family and then the expectations I had from them hit hard and break my heart then I forget about it after sometime and start loving poeple again and the cycle goes on and on I just wanna be loved the way I love I just wanna feel like how it feels to be someone's best friend, someone's first choice, someone's favorite person, maybe God has written for me a right time to have someone like that maybe I just need to wait idk
I am a person who was scared of loneliness maybe even 2 years ago. Lockdown and Coronavirus taught me something I would be grateful for. Loneliness is NOT solitude. In lockdown, as my daily work decreased, I thought now it was about time I spend some time with myself. So I kept all my phones. social media ad everything aside. I started to concentrate on myself. Slowly and slowly, my relationship with myself improved. I'm mentally a lot more healthy. So as a person who got out of loneliness, I can say solitude is good for you, you really need it.
This video, and this comment has just saved me from spiraling separation anxiety. I now realise I have to embrace solitude, practice it, it will help both me and my relationships.
I do enjoy being alone sometimes… but my friends tell me so much about their social life( which I like listening to) and so I realize even more how less I socialize. I always hear them texting with other people,… and I only have them( I am grateful for them but…).
The problem is that most people are so dependent of society and the outside world that they forget about themselves and their well-being. Some even get mad and commit suicide. It happened last year during the so-called lockdown.
Ture, im dealing with thus thing but don't want to stop. I think I kinda do depend in society but tbh I don't care about my well-being. I keep thinking that im Not allowed to feel good, because If i feel good then im Not Working hard enough to make Others feel better Im sorry If this Message is innapropriat or crazy Just wanted to let it Out I guess :)
@@derdinohorst No problem, thanks for sharing, I can relate. Think of it this way, the more you take care of yourself and prioritze your own care the more people you can help. Just like a machine if you don't take good care of it it will fall apart and not being able to do anything. Keep yourself healthy and well, not for the other people, but so You can help them as something that You want to do and feel fulfilled. Thats what helps me to set aside my "guilt" and focus on taking care of myself. Soon enough you may finally be free of that guilt and realize its exactly what you need and what most of them are probably doing for themselves. You are important, and thats not mainly based off of what you do for others, but off of who You choose to be as a person- you can't focus on that if all you do is focus on others and ignore yourself. Good Luck My Friend ❤
I know that I’ve never had narcissistic parents or friends. But however I’ve always been asocial not to mention The problem is I stay in my room all the time. And I wish I wasn’t so lonely, and hangout with my friends more The more I text one friend the more I get no respond back my parents try to get me out of my room.. but it’s not use unfortunately Because I’ve already gotten addicted to staying in here. And I’m just too stubborn to leave it anyways ofc! I get food. and I do some things in my room I do try to stay organized all the time Other-times I eat in my room and binge a lot. I do workout in my room, And write poems and read sometimes that’s basically all I could do in my room at this point.
i used to binge a lot as well, but recently i haven't been binge eating as much. with the texting part, i honestly feel mentally drained from texting? like idk why but it's been that way for several weeks now
I feel really sorry to people being ignored when they text. I'm usually the one who waits to step in and share some stuff and listen/read the facts that they give about themselves.
@@cs1441 if i'm ignored i just never text that person again lol. like if they really care about me they will actually hold a conversation and check in on me occasionally like friends do instead of ignoring me and texting 10 other friends.
I usually enjoy my solitude with 1. Thinking about what's going on with my emotions, exploring my innermost nature (being an introvert) 2. I also have plenty of hobbies like reading BL novels, drawing, watching anime, reading webtoons and manga. 3. I also listen to peaceful and heart-wrenching songs, which calms my mind. I also love to sing! 4. I sometimes work on learning Japanese letters, vocabulary and grammar. 5. I do self-care through exercising, dieting and just sometimes switching off my devices for a while. 6. I come up new ideas with studying better, communicating better and keeping myself and my surroundings as clean as possible. I also surf through the internet about certain facts and learn them on a deeper level. For me, solitude is the best time ever because I love seeing myself grow, which makes me proud. I have been alone with my mom and dad for 7 months due to online classes and I don't regret being alone by myself at all! It's heaven!❤
ppl seems to think that i am a sad and lonely person because i'm constantly hiding out in my own space (which i've made extremely comfortable for myself). But i really enjoys being alone. I enjoy my own company very much and the solitude surrounding me. And if i want some noise, i can just turn music a few notch louder for a short period of time (in general i get sick of that pretty quick lol) i don't think there's anything wrong to enjoy being alone. But i really hate how other people keep assuming and try to preach to me i should get out more, make friends, do things, find someone, etc. But i really don't want any of those. I like the simplicity of my own company and being surrounded by the things I'm interested in and enjoyed. I have zero envy for people with a lot of friends (hey, you do you) or have a partner, family, child, etc. My life, my choices, i made it because i wanted it. I wish more people would understand that. Lockdown? pssh, i been locking myself down all my life lol. but it does suck i had to shelf my travel plans for a while (and yes i travel alone!)
I like being alone because you don't have to pretend to be someone else. I enjoy being myself. Ik some of us are so hard on ourselves sometimes that we won't even let us be ourselves. Solitude really helps with that
My PhD studies conditioned me to appreciate solitude. And now that lockdown has more or less ceased, I am actually annoyed by the thought of spending time around certain people. COVID 19 and subsequent lockdown made it clear to me that rudeness and selfishness were the norm
I always been and are a lone wolf but when I start socializing and getting attached to people it hurts me in the end when they leave. So I choose to be alone and I enjoy being alone.
Been an introvert all my life. And I just seem to find joy by listening to music and playing games both on phone and on console. As introverted as I am, I can confidently say that I'm socially adept. Sometimes when I'm by myself, I tend to picture realistic scenarios when it comes to socializing. I tend to think of several responses that are appropriate for said situation while also maintaining my reserved nature. I could be aloof to some, I'm the brooding kind of person who's thinking a lot of things like my own fantasy, my favorite character from game/anime and also learn how to show confidence without being in your face. I just tend to say less and listen more, so that I can improve myself to be a more caring and compassionate person. Reason why I said that is because, I tend to silently empathise people and let them do the talking. For those who read: Thank you 😊 Just giving my comment here on UA-cam and for those who like MBTI, my type is an INFP
i used to play guitar.. i stopped after years of regularly playing for "stupid" psychological reasons.... i took a photography accreditation course for making something out of that time and to minimize remorse for not playing guitar. I am planning to pick up guitar again, with a new mind framing (expanding into recording and mixing my own takes, with Reaper). All this time (about 5 years ongoing) i am also filling random thoughts into a list (into an xls file), shower thoughts and technical ideas and random philosophical ideas pending revisiting; it helps my mind alot for assuring me those thoughts are less likely to be forgotten, gives me a bit of dopamine when looking at it, gives a starting point for the moments when out of ideas/creativity, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY it helps me acknowledge the topics that "haunt" me predominantly, helps me know myself more, and helps me adjust towards what direction my energy should go or not.
Oh! Please do pick up guitar again... sooner than later, if you can. I know nothing about you as far as age or where you are in life but I've just started playing again this last couple of years in my mid-40s & I'm so glad I did. I wish I'd made it a priority sooner. Im a mum of two, aged nearly 20 & 18. I played through my late teens & most of my 20's. When I had my kids I didn't have time, energy or space to play. The reasons then turned into other reasons I just couldn't really play (toddlers & littlies like to grab strings & generally try to 'play along'). After a few years I just didn't feel it anymore. I was struggling with depression/anxiety & spent most of those years stressed out or apathetic. I made it a priority for my mental health & started just playing a song every now & then, relearning & refamiliarising. Try playing something, anything, every now & then. It may help pull you forward too, as it did me. Reconnect yourself! 😌 Cheers
@@marnizavaleta Thanks for reaching out. i am now in my late 30's. A bit too late in life i have become aware of "motion creates emotion" and "fake it till you make it", but i take every small and late victory i can :) (for example, i used the lockdowns for my photography accreditation AND improving my cooking skills) i am going back to guitar, and i push myself by looking back the the list of (rather consistent) recordings i was making, works like a "DONE" list for motivation. . I also figured out where my generalized "lack of discipline" came from (partially due to a bad workplace messing up my reward paths for dopamine, with micro management, crazy timelines and internal politics, seems like i have "gained" a case of ADD, maybe only aggravated by my profession, software engineering) i'd encourage everyone to learn an instrument, i started guitar late, at 25yo, seemed weird for most people i happened to surround myself with, and to my family.. , but that guitar was more present and closer to me in many times of need for mental balance. ADD or not (not investigated, not diagnosed), i am trying to make many things happen, one micro-step at a time, i gave up my job for focusing on those, and to come to a conclusion about them, so that i either get success or, if failing, freedom from them... i hope more people had the security and clear mind to try the same. Thank you for your words, congratulations for your family, that must have been quite quite a journey to this point and it MUST be a source of dopamine; you did mention depression and "its friends" - awareness is already a good first step, don't let them grow, reinvent yourself if needed, especially after raising kids . Best wishes and let's keep it up !
It’s amazing how most people in the comments section already enjoy being alone. I do/can too but I always crave social interaction even though I feel worse whenever I’m in one. Growing up, I’ve always wanted to fit in, be part of the cool group in school, dream about hanging out with the cool kids hoping one day it would come true, but I’ve always, always been a loner. No matter how many school organizations or committees I joined back then, I just can’t seem to interact well with people. Now that I’m working, at 26 years old, I still long for social interaction, and my yearnings just got worse cause of this stupid pandemic. I always crave for attention, every weekend I hope and pray that someone might remember me and send me a text, and that would make my day. But it never happens. I go out of my way and make the first move, texting people inviting them for a chat over call, but I always get rejected, and it makes me feel really bad about myself. But why? Why do I crave so much for social interaction? All my life I’ve been alone, a loner. I feel like at this point in my life I should already be okay with it. I mean, people suck, they just disappoint you. But why do I want their attention so bad? Fuck. I don’t know. I just wanna be happy on my own, be happy being alone.
yeah can relate to this! i was in a friends gang in my middle school and couldn't blend in after sometime.... they left me out after sometime... like they didn't even felt interested, just like some obligation... i most of the times felt hurt but i didn't had anyone to hang out with other than them coz all had someone with them regualarly for breaks and all, but me all alone... i couldn't even feel myself around them at the end... like it felt uncomfortable... didn't even care about me... slowly i distanced myself from them and i was lonely for a long period, but eventually people started befriending me... i felt confident enough and felt it reflect in my social life... now iam friends with the whole class and feel a sense of belonging.. that was the best decision i ever took... still proud of me for doing that still iam good friends with the gang.. just not like before :D
Same here😂Just do what you want peacefully and determined😊Let your parents and your friends to say what they want😏(but not go to the other extreme to ignore them,is selfish, not "self-careish"😅).Wish you luck, guts, patience and love🤗
Same here !!!!! I was a very extroverted EXTROVERT before this lockdown...I will rate my maturity level -10 also I had so many beliefs that instead did more harm than good to me I think I was going through depression for those 10 to 11 months.....I feel like awakened now .... I can immediately sense the energy in the room and people....and all of my friends were hell of toxic , now I hangout with my teddy bears , journal , plant , mirror , moon etc I m infp btw😌👍🏻
@@Sunflower_that_loves_you well kinda same happened to me too I am introvert since the start but lockdown was full of more depression and changing, also hello there my fellow infp :)
Sometimes being alone is better than being used , many people only come when they need you , once you make a mistake they blame you like you do mistake in your whole life
I am an extrovert, I’ve never been alone in my life and I’ve always had friends. A couple of weeks ago my friend group slowly started to push me out of the group and mistreating me and stuff and now I’m practicing to be on my own but it’s so hard. I have this weird feeling that I can’t explain and I can’t help but feel bad for myself. I hope this feeling goes away soon and I wish all of you a wonderful day ❤️🫶
Better to be alone , than to be used and abused. Walking away can be hard . I wished I had walked away years ago. Instead of waisting my life on fake friends.
Legit almost everyone: Omg- that person much be so depressed (or) they must have such bad mental health. Me: *Legit the most chillest and happy person in my class*
I want to make friends but I've lost my social skills and I start getting fear of what to say around others my current friends are slowly moving from me too so I've decided to just find happiness in my current state no matter what
I don't know but, when I am with my friends I start overthinking after the hang out... Overthinking in a negative way, and sometimes when they are having some conversation I am not allowed to know or I am out of place to them.... But when I am with myself only, I felt peace and happiness when walking alone or even eating alone in restaurants; I felt the satisfaction of hanging out together with myself... Guys it's more fun to be alone so we cannot smell or even feel some negative things around us....
I’ve been trying to enjoy solitude for months now after I realized I don’t belong to the environment I’m in. When you’re all alone, it feels so great. Though you’ll start to feel really lonely when you realize they’re happier without you. I’m basically going through a split. I want a close friend, but I isolate myself too.
I don’t like people but I can’t stand being alone anymore. There are some people who are happy being alone, I’m not one of them…Just because I’m always alone, doesn’t mean I like it. I hate being in relationships because they give me hope, just so it can be ripped away and I feel the pain of abandonment *all over again*
Ur situation is kinda like mine. I used to love being alone, but then i somehow managed to make a friend. Now that that friend has moved away to another country, i am always alone, and this isn't a choice--- i have no other option. Plus now i hate being alone because I got so attached to the feeling of friendship. Right now im trying to connect with myself again, and its pretty tough, but I hope i manage. Can you give me some advice or suggestions how to umm u know...... Love this weird feeling of being alone?
The majority of my child/school years I preferred to be on my own, but I was never opposed to doing things with other kids when asked or I just was in the mood for social interaction. My sociability greatly increased as I got older, to the point that I was rarely by myself. However, at the end of 2016, I began to be forced into an ever increasing solitary life. I was angered and hurt by the people and circumstances that pushed me into the solitude, and at first I did have feelings of loneliness and betrayal. But oddly enough, as I was forced to endure the increasing seclusion from others, to the point that I even decided it best that I abstained from most social media interaction, the constant time alone enabled me to connect with other aspects of existence, in particular, connecting and (to some capacity) communicating with the subphysical world. It was through this connection that I eventually learned about a terror that had embedded itself within my psyche. I learned that it was this terror that caused me so much undue anguish, and was responsible for most of (if not all) of my occasional but constant irrational thought processes and behaviors. Through my communications and education with the subphysical, I was eventually able to cast the terror out. Ever since then, I have become much calmer, patient, and tolerant of the people and circumstances of my life. I have since made a gradual return to connecting with more people via social media, although, physically, I still endure a very solitary life, and not just because of the pandemic. Mostly, now, my time and mental energy is focused towards figuring out what it is I can do to influence positivity and useful communication where I can, as well as protect and/or comfort those that I am able to. There are even rare occasions when my knowledge of certain terror or malevolence, is able to deter harmful intent by those types of negative influences. Apologies for such a long ramble, but this is the first time I've ever had as close to an appropriate place as any to let this out of my head. Thank you.
Every time I sit alone at school break time,I often hear gossip of me"poor you" And I hated it,I litterly feel good sitting by myself watching garden, reading, eating, drawing, etc It's like that word make me think of the bad side of being alone To be honest being alone is a blessing and a curse just depends which side we think and use
Exactly! It depends on how YOU think about it and LABEL it, which u shouldn’t do. What u just described is u being mindful of things and THAT is awesome! Don’t let anybody look down on u for doing that Habibah. As far as I’m concerned, I think ur further than others who aren’t mindful of the things around them, but see...that’s just my personal opinion.
Same lol, but If i Take my book Out into the Break and read, I feel Like a alien and Sometimes even teacher come Up to me and Tell that "It's Not the purpose of the Break to dir down and read but to physicall exausts yourself and socialize" But as Long as your happy with being Alone It's great!
That's so true! I'm an introvert who doesn't have any friends. I know myself already from my childhood until I became an adult. This video is meant for introverts who doesn't have friends, "You don't need to have friends to be cool. You can be cool, all by yourself."
As an introvert I'm perfectly happy being alone, but am not lonely as long as I have books, can learn new things, and write stuff, then I'm happy! (Oh and have coffee and tea and dog walks☺)
I dont know if i am introverted as people say, but i feel alone at times with no one to call or text. I dont talk much so i guess i am. But in their absense, i feel the need for company. I realized that staying in a solitudious life is important as it is much better.
I rather enjoy being alone and reflect on some philosophical quandaries. Such as, am I morally, ethically and/or legally obligated to exist? Thank you for sharing this video. Cheers!
I occasionally enjoy being by myself but I find that on my days off, if I don’t have plans with anyone, I lay in bed all day. I always feel more motivated to do what I have/want to do if I’m with someone. I want to learn to be okay being by myself at home, it’s gonna take some time.
“Aloneness could’ve counselled you, but loneliness got the better of you.” Please learn the distinction between the two terms and life will appear different than it once did.
Thank you. Sometimes there is this pressure of being made to think that something must be wrong with you if you are alone. Only beginning to understand that's it's okay and a completely valid way of life to be.
@@sparkstudies1675 Exactly. There is nothing wrong with being without a partner. Things happen when you least expect it. When you are ready the door will appear.

Wow! Great video, great advice and great inspiration. It is recently that I finally realized I need to do something for myself. I use my time oil painting. When I do, the rest of the world doesn’t exist. I feel peaceful, inspired, meditative, self worthy and happier. I also help older people so they feel loved and cared for. This gives me a great satisfaction to see them happy. I’m always thinking how to make older people happy, even if it is a ride to the store. I also have a sketchbook. I believe it is up to each one of us to make the impossible possible and make the best of our time alone. We on,y live once. More I,por tanto is to stay away from toxic people or people who do not appreciate you. Thanks so much for the video. I’m on the right track! Blessings for each day to echa one of you and take care and be safe.
Love this video. Good thing I'm an introvert, so this comes natural to me and is my preference. Don't get me wrong though, I do feel a tiny bit of loneliness at times, but it doesn't last long! And for me, being with and around other people hasn't always been a walk in the park! I much rather be to myself than around people. And like she said in the video, being alone does let you get to know yourself more, which is hard to do if you're constantly surrounded by other people, especially the wrong people!
I grew up alone, I don't have siblings nor a dad (I have but he's with his new family since I was a baby). My mom is always busy at work and I love her so much. I rarely go outside, and I don't even have friends (I have some stranger friends online but not in real life) I'm just literally always at home, and when someone knew about it, they always ask if I don't get bored or what I'm doing in my life. Well growing up alone doesn't bother me at all, coz I'm used to it, I'm the type of person who can't get bored, I always prefer being alone coz I always enjoy my own company. There's so many things I used to do growing up alone such as: cooking different dishes, I'm an organized person and I always love to clean our house & organize every little thing, sometimes I'm practicing to play piano & guitar, I used to write every thought I have, I love making poems & songs based on my experiences in life (yes, even if I'm like an introvert I experienced a lot of things), I'm learning too a Turkish language, I took care & play with my pet 🐕, I read book sometimes, I always watch videos on UA-cam, and sometimes talk to strangers, sometimes i go outside for a walk at the park, eat alone at a restaurant, and buy myself some clothes. I sometimes danced & sing vibing with some songs. And many more things I do. That's how I enjoy being alone, and it's so precious that you're able to enjoy your own company.😊💗
This actually helped me understand people who don’t like being alone. Which is actually very helpful because now I know why people around me are worried about leaving me alone because they think I’ll be lonely.
i've been through this darkness and painful loneliness. the pain is excruciating. but i swear to you i’ve never been the same person again. i am so grateful

Did you know: Alone can be a choice. When someone is busy, you might be alone. Its possible for you to be lonely and alone at the same time. Lonely, is not always a choice. It means that there isnt anybody with you, figuratively and literally sometimes. Did you also know: If you open your eyes, just a little bit, you can help someone else that's lonely. At school is a common place. Social gatherings as well. Step up. It's easier said than done, but it will help the person so much *and it will be worth it*
Right now I have friends and a girlfriend, but I can also live alone which I used to do in the past. I used to be quite happy living alone before, enjoying my hobbies and I kept in contact with my family and two friends sometimes and it was enough for me. Even though I visited one friend only twice a year, our bond is great (Same with my family and I lived far away from them for years) so I never worried about being alone or abandoned. It is usually about fears, fear of being alone, rejected, abandoned, not contributing etc. I got rid of these a long time ago and I am content. Of course I am happy having more great friends now and a love, but if it happened that I lose them someday, I can survive it and then try again to find good people in my life, that's just my mindset.
I'm a very extrovert meaning I am happier around people...Now i lost interest in everyone.. I wanna give a break , and yup I know after this break i will totally become a introvert but now as im getting older Iam losing interest so I really needed this thanks alot , I hope so I will enjoy being alone now...Right now I'm going to learn something new!!! Thanks alot

Sometimes I really feel jealous of those who have a lot of friends.
Trust me, they are not real friends
you'll always miss something when you're quite often surrounded with alot of people. im feeling more lonely than i could ever imagine which is why im seeking to enjoy solitude since i got used to being surrounded and when the time actually comes that you happen to be alone you have this sort of fear and loneliness that you haven't felt before since theres not much u can do about the situation as usual since you cant just go ahead and reach out to other people in that particular situation but LONG STORY SHORT im trying to embrace solitude right now because i dont feel right
When I'm alone , I don't feel lonely .

As an extrovert who has been betrayed by fake friends, loneliness is a true horror to me.
Not if you've grown to get used to it.
Same here literally my life
I can't handle loneliness anymore.
I feel you and me are living the same life
Like I was in a friendship for 12 years
But then being betrayed
I still can't get over it 😭😭
Not if you learn to enjoy being alone.
Nothing wipes away the emptiness of being alone than accomplishing the things we want to do which improve ourselves. Another great video Psych2go!
but the thing is some people like me can never be contented since no matter how much we try to get to where we want nothing happens almost like its impossible
@@yaurfeiussystuhncc do you ask too much of yourself? Are you looking for alterative ways to reach your goals? Are you taking small steps to getting where you want to be? These are all considerations for your journey. I wish you well.
Yes, but I need money first.
I enjoy:
- learning new things
- take a walk/ ride bicycle for at least 4 hours at once / go to a gym
- listen music. No. Not just play it in the background but listen all the notes, count the rithms, feel the groove, analyze the art behind it. (no I'm not listening pop, rather jazz and progressive metal, Eg Miles Davis or Tool)
- also like take poems apart and analyzing them and going under the abstract world.
- handicraft
- making a good meal
And the most unusual is: I love washing the dishes: it's a meditation or a physically alone time while I'm doing some practical good. Most of my great ideas come during washing the dishes.
You have a great lifestyle. I also enjoy writing poems and music. Perhaps we should spend our youth on these before becoming adults.

I've never developed or had a childhood friendship, just peers that I barely talk to anymore.

so many people give me great reasons to hate them so i just hate being around anyone other than my close friends. but even hanging with close friends is draining for me idk
I’m really really happy for u Adrija. It takes courage to do that 🙏

It happened last year during the so-called lockdown.
very true it's really sad
Ture, im dealing with thus thing but don't want to stop. I think I kinda do depend in society but tbh I don't care about my well-being. I keep thinking that im Not allowed to feel good, because If i feel good then im Not Working hard enough to make Others feel better

Same with the texting part. I dont even know if my "friends" care about me... it makes me sad.
I will say, just don't binge a lot and socialize somewhat, other than it is all right
i used to binge a lot as well, but recently i haven't been binge eating as much. with the texting part, i honestly feel mentally drained from texting? like idk why but it's been that way for several weeks now
I feel really sorry to people being ignored when they text.
I just want to disappear for a little while and enjoy being alone. Its not a sad thing, I just want to appreciate my own company for a little while.
I absolutely love being alone.. I like being with friends and enjoy their company.. but as soon as I’m alone I find even more true joy.
So, you don’t really know what it’s like to be alone.
ummm..I obviously do, and I enjoy it :)@@yux
I usually enjoy my solitude with
1. Thinking about what's going on with my emotions, exploring my innermost nature (being an introvert)
Sounds heavenly.

ppl seems to think that i am a sad and lonely person because i'm constantly hiding out in my own space (which i've made extremely comfortable for myself).

Reason why I said that is because, I tend to silently empathise people and let them do the talking.

i used to play guitar.. i stopped after years of regularly playing for "stupid" psychological reasons.... i took a photography accreditation course for making something out of that time and to minimize remorse for not playing guitar.
Cheers
Thank u for being such a self reflective person 🙏❤️ anyone who reads this will get inspired so thank u!

@@marnizavaleta Thanks for reaching out. i am now in my late 30's. A bit too late in life i have become aware of "motion creates emotion" and "fake it till you make it", but i take every small and late victory i can :) (for example, i used the lockdowns for my photography accreditation AND improving my cooking skills)
i am going back to guitar, and i push myself by looking back the the list of (rather consistent) recordings i was making, works like a "DONE" list for motivation. .
I also figured out where my generalized "lack of discipline" came from (partially due to a bad workplace messing up my reward paths for dopamine, with micro management, crazy timelines and internal politics, seems like i have "gained" a case of ADD, maybe only aggravated by my profession, software engineering)
i'd encourage everyone to learn an instrument, i started guitar late, at 25yo, seemed weird for most people i happened to surround myself with, and to my family.. , but that guitar was more present and closer to me in many times of need for mental balance.
Hey man, have you figured it out? :p

But when I am with myself only, I felt peace and happiness when walking alone or even eating alone in restaurants; I felt the satisfaction of hanging out together with myself... Guys it's more fun to be alone so we cannot smell or even feel some negative things around us....
Great explanation of the positives of what it means to "be alone." Such a good spin on it and something more people need to understand
I’ve been trying to enjoy solitude for months now after I realized I don’t belong to the environment I’m in. When you’re all alone, it feels so great. Though you’ll start to feel really lonely when you realize they’re happier without you. I’m basically going through a split. I want a close friend, but I isolate myself too.
wow- i really needed this video. all my friends are gradually becoming distant with me and i didn’t know what to do
After watching this video, what will u do?
I enjoy being alone in my room, reflecting on my thoughts and doing self-care.
So real
When am alone I explore alot of things about my self..thats why I like being alone- in solitude...thank you for the video...
Thank you for this video when I need it the most :)
I love being alone. It helps sm for your productivity and stuck with your thougths
Thank you for healing us☘️❤️
💕 Always!
Thank you.
Every time I sit alone at school break time,I often hear gossip of me"poor you"
And I hated it,I litterly feel good sitting by myself watching garden, reading, eating, drawing, etc
It's like that word make me think of the bad side of being alone
To be honest being alone is a blessing and a curse just depends which side we think and use
@@MindNow thank you, and I hope you are being well as well
Same lol, but If i Take my book Out into the Break and read, I feel Like a alien and Sometimes even teacher come Up to me and Tell that "It's Not the purpose of the Break to dir down and read but to physicall exausts yourself and socialize"
But as Long as your happy with being Alone It's great!
People like that lack the internal capacity to be alone and be good with it. I’d be more inclined to pity them.
Sometimes I enjoy building things in Sims2 or Sims3 alone. And also finding new ways to be creative with my builds.
I love this. I find the most growth in myself when I'm alone 🖤
I do too some what🌺
Same! Who needs social interaction?
I love being alone I love the peace and quiet no problems from people who cause them great video by the way.
Cheers!
Society makes you think that you are missing something by not having relationships and sex, but really, being alone is good, if feels like freedom
I find happiness and calmness when I'm alone.
I occasionally enjoy being by myself but I find that on my days off, if I don’t have plans with anyone, I lay in bed all day. I always feel more motivated to do what I have/want to do if I’m with someone. I want to learn to be okay being by myself at home, it’s gonna take some time.
“Aloneness could’ve counselled you, but loneliness got the better of you.” Please learn the distinction between the two terms and life will appear different than it once did.
that’s a good quote, do you know who said it/made it ?
Thank you. Sometimes there is this pressure of being made to think that something must be wrong with you if you are alone. Only beginning to understand that's it's okay and a completely valid way of life to be.
@@sparkstudies1675
Exactly. There is nothing wrong with being without a partner. Things happen when you least expect it. When you are ready the door will appear.
@@traviscarver4708 Thank you so much

It came to me while walking actually. When you’re alone you can have a singular focus. There is a distinction between the two that is never made. They are not terms synonymous with one another. I’m glad you enjoy the quote. It’s served me well through many nights while out walking.
Mhm
This channel is my safe place :)
This actually helped me understand people who don’t like being alone. Which is actually very helpful because now I know why people around me are worried about leaving me alone because they think I’ll be lonely.

I love thisss imma add this to my notes
Wow, this came at the perfect time. My last day of school was yesterday, and while most people are excited, I’m terrified of being alone with my thoughts.
I self-reflect most of the time. Kinda addicting if you're used to being alone.
And also, it's also comforting since it's quiet.
How do U self reflect?
@@MindNow I think about my actions every now and then. Especially when I'm in a quiet environment. That's why I like being alone, especially in my home because it's quiet.
Thank you, I needed this. I use to hate being alone because of some childhood shit and aI was always tormenting my friends to hang out constantly, now I see that to be happy you also need alone time, and that it doesn't have to be scary, ty sm!!!! ❤
Amen my friend, amen! 😌😒😏😁
I have friends...but i feel more lonely when I'm with them..and i enjoy being alone more, but I was afraid of being judged or called "loner" "lonely" "broken" but this video really helped me❤
Thank you with all my heart 😭 I hold on to most of the people in my life,I had no idea if they want me around or not(friends,gf,etc...) and also because I am myself is an empathetic...I'm afraid to be alone, I'm afraid to let go of people... I'll try as you said 🥺 Thank you for healing us
Did you know:
Alone can be a choice. When someone is busy, you might be alone. Its possible for you to be lonely and alone at the same time.
Lonely, is not always a choice. It means that there isnt anybody with you, figuratively and literally sometimes.
Did you also know:
If you open your eyes, just a little bit, you can help someone else that's lonely. At school is a common place. Social gatherings as well. Step up. It's easier said than done, but it will help the person so much
*and it will be worth it*
I love being alone, the pressure of being around others is exhausting. Dream job? Lighthouse keeper or fire watch at the crossroads of no and where.
Sid: A fortress of solitude in the ice forever, alone lonely loner
Manny: thats a lot of loneliness
Sid: PRECISELY
1k likes and no dislikes 👏👏this is our family❤
I'm a very extrovert meaning I am happier around people...Now i lost interest in everyone.. I wanna give a break , and yup I know after this break i will totally become a introvert but now as im getting older Iam losing interest so I really needed this thanks alot , I hope so I will enjoy being alone now...Right now I'm going to learn something new!!! Thanks alot
