Wow! Couple of really nice parts. Some of my viewers also offered to donate a voodoo 5 couple of times, but I always refuse. Most of the people just don't know what they have there and how much it costs. Anyway, that ATI soundcard is also a really rare one. I collect ISA sound cards and hunted it for a long time. I think this was the most expensive retro card which I ever payed for. It's a SB2.0 clone, the two missing ICs can be upgraded with SAA1099 to get CMS compatibility. It is very well built, much better quality, than from Creative and it also has proprietary 16-bit digital sound support, but I didn't find any game which would support it. You can use it from the software though. If I remember right, this card had compatibility issues with some games, but I'm not sure. In any case, this is a hit for every sound cards collector.
I'm glad that you are back, and those are great donations. Everyone has been thought rough times and seeing that you came back feel nice. I hope you can keep making videos.
A beautiful collection, it brings back memories and emotions, the PC components market used to be more diverse, as a young boy, building computers for my friends, I spent a lot of time testing different manufacturers, it was an amazing experience. Nowadays there is a monopoly, there is no fun like before :).
Nice goodies to play with. Thankx for sending Chris and Stefan. These goodies are always handy to repair or fix some systems. Greetings from Steven from the Netherlands
glad you finally received the card that you wanted from chris! because you were upset and disappointed about that last transaction and then you were gone!!! for a long time!! I was flabbergasted!! your back now is and happier which is all that matters
I really thought that Diamond Card at 10:44 was the Voodoo Banshee... 😅 I should have read the sticker on the backside properly before wrapping it up I guess...It is also made by Diamond, at first glance it looks similar, but it's called "Monster Fusion". I must have mixed things up while browsing trough my collection 🙃 Sorry for that 🙄 Looking forward to your Review of the Voodoo 5 😁
Nice donation! I have two Voodoo 5 5500 cards, one with the original box and the other one needs heatsinks as they were missing when I found the card, I also have 4 slightly different voodoo 2 cards and one voodoo 3 2000 16mb pci card.
Is it just me or was i the only one more excited for that Ati sound card with the ym3812 than the 3dfx card... 😅 Very generous donation i have to say, looking forward to many test videos!
The first video card I ever purchased was a Diamond Viper V770, although I remember it having active cooling. I was a teenager when I bought it and paid for it with my summer job money, I felt like a god with that video card. Going from software rendering only to my first 3D accelerator was such a huge difference.
@@looks-suspicious something similar happened to me too. I bought a Kyro 2, weeks later I could hardly play anything with it anymore because every interesting 3D game required hardware T&L
Sold tons of P75 back in the day. Also for some fun on those pci video cards. I got the idea one day of asking how much to order a block of ram upgrade chips. Oh, that cheap. Sure send me a few tubes. Then I just loaded up the extra 2 slots. Did the same thing with wave table interfaces on 3rd party sound cards. :) Fun times. Oh and this was before the internet so asking a distributor about stuff like tubes of video ram was the thing to do.
Really beautiful conditions of most of the cards. I do like the PCI cards due to compatibility with more modern and cheaper to find systems for retro setups (775, am2, etc)
My first computer Pentium || 266 MHz cpu had the same mother board - Slot 1 ATX motherboard GigaByte GA-686LX4 I would love to own this mother board again.
I love the videos and keep them coming. I had that exact card for the G200 from Matrox. Came with Incoming and Motörhead. It is an 8MB Card that is expandable to 16MB. Never had the expansion module but moved to Nvidia when XP Plus required an odd 12MB Video memory to install
I had the same. And had the extra memory. Card power is to weak to use it But i need it to have a higher resolution in that time. After that i had de g400 model.
Ooh a K5! interesting chip. Had a K5-PR150 back then... I say interesting now and I suppose it was but it was also those dark days of "Pentium Class" (not really).
The Gigabyte GA-686LX4 would be a perfect replacement for my GA-686LX that is slowly failing on me. Unfortunately, those boards are going for over $200 on eBay which is more than I paid for it brand new.
Just to ad an observation, the Elsa card is PCI, definitely slower than the AGP ones, but as their place for a system without AGP, like the early socket 7, like me back in the days my only choice was a Voodoo 2.
The Matrox G200 is notorious for BIOS fade, I have one I need to refresh by reflash using another card as primary display, so don't give up on it if it seems dead
Just a word of caution - I'd recommend removing or cutting out address labels entirely. Markers are definitely not good enough to hide addresses. Christoph's address is still visible relatively easily. Many youtubers use a box cutter and cut out the sensitive parts on the label entirely

They also made a VGA Stereo F/X which was the same thing combined with a VGA Wonder XL on the same card.
makes me wonder if Planet X3 is able to make full use 😁
Happy to see Your back, great box of goodies' you got there, I can look forward to some excellent reviews I'm sure

Glad you are back making videos again. What a great donation this is too!
Absolutely jealous of this whole donation lot xD. Even the "bad" ones would be handy.
A feast for the eyes and a lot of stuff that will make some future videos possible, all from the same person! That's a really admirable guy.
What a freaking generous donation.

Super generous donation! Was like an entire collection in a box! will keep you busy for a while😁

Diamond Monster Fusion "is" the 3dfx Voodoo Banshee, the owner of this channel missed that.
@@KevinSillsYeah, but the one I sent to him is obviously a Riva TNT ... I must have mixed up the cards when putting together the package for him.
I hope you do a long detailed video on that Voodoo 5.
Mine has some bad artifacting, and even worse under Windows. Probably needs new RAM chips.
@@enilenis I have thrown my 3DFX Voodoo 5 5500 AGP in box a way in the trash before i knew what they were woth.
That’s an ATI Stereo F/X card, it is Sound Blaster 1.5 compatible, supports CMS with the Phillips SAA1099 chips installed. Pretty cool card!

Looks like it can take saa1099 chips too.

WOW amazing.
Kudos to Chris and Stefan!
I've been wanting to make computer vlogs for the last 2 years! I understand the fact you have time to make anything is a mericle!

I love your videos. Welcome back after 18 months!
Wow, Nice stuff there~! The Voodoo in the end crazy.
Finally! You're officially a member of the VSA-100 club. :)
I've heard you are gay is that true ?
So nice and they are all cleaned up and ready..
Nice addition to the collection..interesting 🙂
Wow all those video cards look so clean like were never used.
That's it! I need to restart my UA-cam channel to get the good donations!
Hehe. Congrats!
Congratulations! All the cards are pretty exotic, and the Voodoo 5 is very nice!!
Diamond Monster Fusion "is" the 3dfx Voodoo Banshee!
Thanks Chris !
You're welcome 😛
Wow. It's Easter here but it looks like it's Christmas over there!
Please make a video of the Voodoo 5 in action!
the Voodoo video cards my fav
The video card 3dfx at the end will most likely be ok as them two silver/purple capacitors are solid rather than electrolytic
awesome ! cant wait to see all videos :D
Wow! Congrats on that 5500! Amazing! Any word on that PCD-5T? I am still interested...
Oh, that's an ATI Fury Maxx on the thumbnail, definitely not a Voodoo 5...
look again lol
I think i have a voodoo 2, 3 and 5 kicking around somewhere
The Matrox card AGP is it B Version. I have 8pcs of B and non works i have no clue to solve it got plenty AGP computers and non works with B
The Matrox G200 is notorious for BIOS fade, I have one I need to refresh by reflash using another card as primary display, so don't give up on it if it seems dead
Really?? What could be the cause of that? 🤔
how about a benchmark video comparing the video cards?
Splendid donations!👍👍
Do you ever use Linux distros?
When you use the i740 use the i810 drivers. They are much better and work fine on the 740.
Now dedicated voodoo5 video please 🙂
Have myself an 5500.
Can't find a suitable motherboard to check it.....
Those blue cpu boxes look cool. Can they be bought off ebay or somewhere today?
oof
3V SX2-66 and DX2-66...
Not easy to find a board for it...
Looks like Christmas came early.
omg V5 8)
Can you please upload video with voodoo 5 featured? Review and gameplay
That Diamond Stealth 64 Video has the IBM RAMDAC on it so it's an OEM card. Retail versions had a TI RAMDAC which was apparently better?
Have you checked the markings of the RAMDACs? From what I remember the IBM was 220Mhz and the TI was 170, so actually the IBM was better
Just a word of caution - I'd recommend removing or cutting out address labels entirely. Markers are definitely not good enough to hide addresses. Christoph's address is still visible relatively easily. Many youtubers use a box cutter and cut out the sensitive parts on the label entirely
Thanks for pointing that out 😆 feel free to pay me a visit. I'm the only person with that name in my village... 😅
I need retro donation
486DX4-120? Was it real???
I still wanna fix your unfixable video card from hell (unless you've already fixed it. Or junked it)
Drop me an email and we’ll work something out
@@RetroSpector78 I tried (years ago), but it must've gone to spam (with an address starting with senily... who's to blame the algorithm)
....👏🎉💯🎯👍❗

Also 4 the algorithm.
Fix that title, one does not simply put a space between a word and an exclamation mark! That looks horrible, and is simply wrong.
Who cares ye big ballocks !?
No other problems?
this is junk. hoarding.
You can't be serious...😐
Had that diamond stealth s3 virge in the family's first PC
sweet! i used to own more than a handfull of the boards you pulled out of there! but what are you gonna use them for? to me these are like old socks.
Im looking to off load some retro fast win98 hardware / pcs if anyone is willing to collect south coast of England, ive got too much now!
