It's so hard to learn how to play the game just by watching videos. No caster ever seems to talk about builds in any kind of detail, no commentary on how to creep, no talk about transitions or expansion timings. It's just like you have to mute the stream and go through it slowly by watching the minimap to figure out what's going on. There is definitely a gap in this scene for someone who can educate players as well as entertain, and I think that's part of the reason the game hasn't taken off as a spectator thing.
So, part of what you talk about is due to the presence of creep economy. Builds are very much a thing, but they aren't necessarily stabilized yet (Aureil will do his own stuff but it doesn't always percolate out. Each top infernal has their own idea about how to best play the game, etc). As commentators, our job is to tell the story of the match. I do agree that someone going more in depth into specific builds and timings would be good, but I've personally found that those videos don't get nearly as many views
This is a like and a comment for the algorithm (great job, Rushi!)
