This reminds me of a game I got on the PS4. The Dwarves. It looked like a fun game and outside of my normal pick up. But once I stared playing the Audio is bargin bin material. Graphics aren’t even on par either. Sad because I feel like I have to play it since I spent the cash, but I don’t want to.
Microids a decent Publisher? Every game published by Microids is.just the same: Bugfestivals. Microids is a very good reason to not buy a game with this name on it.

Its been on PC for over 3 years and still has all the bugs from launch. Thankfully only got it for a dollar but this is the last time I purchase from this developer.

When a system have this type of popularity with people buying software like crazy, even when the game performance suffers, for the convenience of portable play. Company's will try to cram anything on the machine even when the gameplay suffers immensely! Everybody needs to support the developers who are actually taking the time they need and making a version of their game that's acceptable to play. There are many good ports of good games on the Switch but when even large company's that's closely tied to Nintendo make half-baked releases it's pretty damn sad to see people supporting that practice...

Mom of 3. Bought the game on sale expecting a slowpaced adventure for my rare "nights off". Archived all my kids' games and installed this. Only to realize that the download and installation proces was less tedious than the game itself. Not enough nights off in my life to ever get through the game. Slowpaced... hah.. Got my money's worth there! So incredibly sad. Who in the world would find this acceptable for release?! And then just abandon it with no real patch. Disappointed is hardly the word. I have it physical on the ps4 pro and its deff not alone the switch version. Also the ps4 version is completely broken and i've encountered alot more issue's then you mention like getting stuck in walls/objects continuesly (atleast every 2 minutes), conversation option issue's getting triggered twice, game freezes etc... its really to broken to play atm... such a shame cause the story seems interresting so far. Deff agree its not a game to recommend as it is atm.
9 months later and it's still got the same problems you mentioned. I've owned this since day one and still can't get past 15 minutes of it. The devs can go and suck a fat one. I prefer average graphics/ textures from telltale any day over this poor broken excuse of a game
I heard that ps4 version has the same problems. I looked so much forward to this. I EVEN decided to buy it on switch cause it feelt like a good game that should run well on the switch. Good graphics does not mean it’s a good game. I’m a fps, fighting and horror player and blacksad is different but it really got me hooked into it. The walk is slow but hey there’s some nothing to rush for and you’ll get used to it and things change once you progress. You’ll start to know and understand why. Switch up just only judge on the game of the first level. If mark progress more into the game I’m sure he’ll change his mind. Like for me I’m hooked to blacksad under the skin. I never thought I would stayand locked in for 8 hours. I highly recommend this game. U definitely missing out

Came here after my game crashed going into the settings menu . The textures are blurry , I bought the special edition and what a waste. The controls are horrible , you have to use the directional button to select items? I dunno if I can continue playing and might grab ot on the ps4, this game should have not been released on the switch.
It is a shame, the game is based on a great Spanish comic. I was very hyped for this title, and then disappointed. Hopefully all these flaws will be fixed with future patches.
I played Blacksad on the Xbox in mid 2023, and it was completely unplayable due to the stuttering caused by a persistent low frame rate throughout cutscenes, QTEs, and just the game in general. It was a major disappointment.
I bought this last week and it’s basically unplayable currently. I’ve had to sit through long unskippable cut scenes over and over and over because the game will just shut down during a loading screen. And to mention the sound effects that play during cut scenes! One part I had to listen to a phone ringing for at least a minute whilst it loaded. Hope they patch it soon cause I still absolutely love the games story and characters.
I still love the film noir style. I hope Backbone (another anthropomorphic detective game. What is up with that? I do like people as animals though!) and The Last Night come to Switch.

My limited edition arrived last friday, after a long wait since I've made the pre-order in June (way before I got the switch, I bought my switch V2 in September xD), and first thing I notice was the slow frame rate, out of sync audio, and horrible lettering on the subtitles and sub-menu :( it's quite a shame, I'm a big fan of the graphic novels, and I've choose this one for switch because I think the genre fits very well on the console instead of PC, but oh well, seems that I'll get it for PC and wait for patches on this version.
Is this post patch (1.02)? Developers said it was accidentally released early in UK and Europe, and should have released 12.10. Day one patch wasn’t ready until December 10th, and the game was said to be unplayable prior to the first patch. It has since received another patch. I got my physical copy yesterday, and plan to dive in tonight.

Ashen was a great game. I highly recommend it to anyone who liked the Souls games (or adventure games in general). If you haven't already played it on Game Pass, it's worth looking at a review at least. I haven't seen the Switch port, I hope the performance doesn't suffer too much. Pretty simple visuals but with great art direction, I can see it making a good transition from the Xbox.

I was so excited for this game and bought right away on the switch as it’s the only console that I have that can run it or that’s what I thought. I’m actually stuck and can’t move on through the story it crashes every time I after I get in o’leary’s Car one time the textures on the car were a whole but of colors then it it crashed. Hopefully it’s patched it will be very disappointing if it’s not.
I bought it to thinking this is a perfect game for my switch, even pre ordered the collectors edition. Well this was the last time I pre order, every time I get a game that needs 3-5 patches to become good.
I was considering getting this for my wife as a Christmas gift to play on her Switch Lite, but then I began reading that other console versions had terrible performance as well, so I began to worry that the Switch version wouldn't be any good either. Sad to say, it seems like I was right. Shame really, as I think this is the type of game she'd enjoy, but with these kind of performance issues I'm staying far away from this one.
Mine completely froze. Now Everytime I try to open my save file, it's corrupt or something and it won't let me progress in the story. I paid full price for this game too lol. And like, I could overlook bugs and everything, but I literally can't play.
I wish I watched this first. I can’t advance past a loading screen within the first 15 minutes of the story line w/o the game crashing. I’ll be hassling the eShop for a refund if not patched soon. Y’all take his advice and don’t buy it!
It's playable and enjoyable now. Sure it would be even better with another patch but since there's no clue to when and if that's coming through, I would start playing it.
Even though this is just one example I got really frustrated. As a person who works as quality auditor I find it astounding that the gaming industry is so completely out of touch with basically every other industry, where quality is an integral part of the product. Just imagine if the cars sold before Christmas were missing parts, or would not start, with the comment from said company that they’ll be fixed but they just had to sell these before the holidays, or whatever. What’s perhaps more amazing about this whole thing is that these issues are not actually something the consumer really cares about, as we have been indoctrinated that patches down the line fix everything so we don’t expect a working game upon purchase. It’s really sad and very frustrating imo.

Wasn’t really interested in this game to start with but i really wonder how some developers get it so right on switch and produce games and ports of games that the gaming world thought wouldn’t be possible on Switch and then others like these have an absolute nightmare and churn out totally unplayable and broken games.
I should have watched this before buying it on switch... omg the amount of issues I found and situations where it crashed or I had to reload are unbelievable... besides it would have been a great game even if the graphics on switch are bad compared to any other system...
Carl Ärdemyr some issues like the fonts improved slightly, but there are still crashes. I also recently was at the cemetery scene and every time I went to an item I jumped back to picking up the baseball... and the scene didn‘t continue... so I had to restart the scene all over... I‘ll check if I notice any improvements
The slow motion movement is a game characteristic and I think all versions are gonna be the same. But what about the fps? An adventure running at 20 fps these days is absolutely ridiculous. I wonder what the Xbox version runs like I'm really disappointed because I love Blacksad and his comics
Slow movement yes - but the movement speed is also tied to the frame rate so that when it drops the character slows further. Blacksad is a cool character I am sure they’ll patch it up. Mark
I wish that I didn't impulse buy this garbage. Telltales Wolf Among Us/Walking Dead were my fave games of the decade and playing this just pisses me off. Even after the two patches they have released. literally nothing has improved in terms of loading textures, and framerate. I even contacted nintendo and they won't refund me my money because "i consented in buying the product". Absolute bs, i'm going to buy this on the PC and have fun for the meantime lmao

Bought this game yesterday. Taking it back today. His detective mind thing doesn't even work for me. Just a black screen. Now the x buttong doesn't trigger any action and cant do anything. Restarted it and now when I continue game, it just stays at the main menu with the guy hanging from the noose. Fuck this game

LOL, LA Noire looks twice as good and has twice as more FPS than this game.

It took a few years but they did patch the game. It doesn't crash at all like it used to.

I was considering getting this for my wife as a Christmas gift to play on her Switch Lite, but then I began reading that other console versions had terrible performance as well, so I began to worry that the Switch version wouldn't be any good either. Sad to say, it seems like I was right. Shame really, as I think this is the type of game she'd enjoy, but with these kind of performance issues I'm staying far away from this one.
Mine completely froze. Now Everytime I try to open my save file, it's corrupt or something and it won't let me progress in the story. I paid full price for this game too lol. And like, I could overlook bugs and everything, but I literally can't play.
I wish I watched this first. I can’t advance past a loading screen within the first 15 minutes of the story line w/o the game crashing. I’ll be hassling the eShop for a refund if not patched soon. Y’all take his advice and don’t buy it!

It's playable and enjoyable now. Sure it would be even better with another patch but since there's no clue to when and if that's coming through, I would start playing it.
Even though this is just one example I got really frustrated. As a person who works as quality auditor I find it astounding that the gaming industry is so completely out of touch with basically every other industry, where quality is an integral part of the product. Just imagine if the cars sold before Christmas were missing parts, or would not start, with the comment from said company that they’ll be fixed but they just had to sell these before the holidays, or whatever.
What’s perhaps more amazing about this whole thing is that these issues are not actually something the consumer really cares about, as we have been indoctrinated that patches down the line fix everything so we don’t expect a working game upon purchase. It’s really sad and very frustrating imo.

The comic is great! However nine months later it still is very slow animation wise and I want to do more but it doesn’t seem right
I really miss game like telltale series, and this really interesing, but the performance issue make me drop this game...hope developer will fix it on the next update, it's really annoying :(

The only game I can put up with poor performance is Ark Survival evolved, I just love the game!

Ooh. Wasn’t really interested in this game to start with but i really wonder how some developers get it so right on switch and produce games and ports of games that the gaming world thought wouldn’t be possible on Switch and then others like these have an absolute nightmare and churn out totally unplayable and broken games.
I should have watched this before buying it on switch... omg the amount of issues I found and situations where it crashed or I had to reload are unbelievable... besides it would have been a great game even if the graphics on switch are bad compared to any other system...

Carl Ärdemyr some issues like the fonts improved slightly, but there are still crashes. I also recently was at the cemetery scene and every time I went to an item I jumped back to picking up the baseball... and the scene didn‘t continue... so I had to restart the scene all over... I‘ll check if I notice any improvements

The slow motion movement is a game characteristic and I think all versions are gonna be the same.
But what about the fps? An adventure running at 20 fps these days is absolutely ridiculous. I wonder what the Xbox version runs like

Slow movement yes - but the movement speed is also tied to the frame rate so that when it drops the character slows further. Blacksad is a cool character I am sure they’ll patch it up. Mark
I wish that I didn't impulse buy this garbage. Telltales Wolf Among Us/Walking Dead were my fave games of the decade and playing this just pisses me off. Even after the two patches they have released. literally nothing has improved in terms of loading textures, and framerate. I even contacted nintendo and they won't refund me my money because "i consented in buying the product". Absolute bs, i'm going to buy this on the PC and have fun for the meantime lmao

Hi, could you please re-review this game? It looked so very promising. According to the Microids website they're now at patch 1.03. Loads of bugs have been fixed and the performance should be vastly improved. Seeeeeyaaa!

The high quality textures are an issue they have problems during cutscenes too but the game isnt unplayable

Bought this game yesterday. Taking it back today. His detective mind thing doesn't even work for me. Just a black screen.
Now the x buttong doesn't trigger any action and cant do anything. Restarted it and now when I continue game, it just stays at the main menu with the guy hanging from the noose. Fuck this game
