@@fryfilm2000 The 600mm lens, has a total magnification of 12x. Anything you view will appear 12x closer. The starting point on this lens is already 4x magnification (200mm) You described this as long reach 3x magnification, incorrect - a 150mm lens has 3x magnification.
@@BrownDaddy007 200 x 3 is 600. Any lens’ magnification factor is determined and specified from its widest measurement, not it’s relationship to 50mm, that’s not how it works, nor could it because 50mm is not the same field of view on different sensors. Just look at TV lenses; they have their magnification factors in the name, ie HJ14x4.3. It shows 4.3mm is the widest, with a 14x magnification. This is how all lenses are described and their ratios expressed.
@@fryfilm2000 I understand that, what I'm saying is, in your video, @ 0:14 you describe that lens' reach as 3xmagnification, which is incorrect, that lens has a reach of 12xmagnification. It has a 3x zoom factor, 200-600, which is what I think you're intending to convey. FYI, I own this camera, and that lens.
You don’t know how much time I was searching a video like this! The only real 200-600 video test. thanks so much!! Like and subscribed 😊
You're very welcome!
Eventhough it's on a tripod, do you turn on the OSS on the lens? I have the same setup:AS7Siii and the Sony 200-600mm FE Lens. Thanks.
The lens has different modes for the stabiliser, one of which is designed for panning, so I keep it on that.
@@fryfilm2000 thank you for your replay. Excellent video.
Love the tone. Is it an original S-Cinetone or do you still tweak the settings?
There’s always tweaking in post.
why does it look like powerzoom you crazy zoomer
Because it is a power zoom. That’s the point.
600mm is 12x magnification.
@@BrownDaddy007 200x 12 = 2400. That is not correct. It’s 3x zoom. 200x3 = 600.
