Found your channel when searching for a capsule wardrobe video...it hooked me. Subscribed and been catching up on some of your other videos, like this one. Just want to let you know how much I love your perspective on fashion and life in general. Glad I found you.
I am a new subscriber, and this is the best video I have watched. I am much older (55) and everything you said is so on spot. Life is a journey and full of highs and lows, but you have the option of what your responses will be. I lost my health at the age of 50, before that I had no health problems at all. So my husband and I decided to live in the moment, because we are not promised a tomorrow. And I will never give in to my health diagnosis’s . I was on a walker and now I’m walking on my own. So you continue on the path you are on and the world is yours! Blessings m prayers and love from the USA 🇺🇸🙌🏻🙏💛
Concratulations for your 50,000 followers :) I have always thought more people should watch your channel! Thanx for your honest answers! You are right, everybody has the choice to choose a positive attitude. Unfortunately most people prefer to be unhappy. Anyway I wish you, Alex & Fanta all the best in Sydney. Greetings from Europe.
Congrats on hitting 50k! I really enjoy your videos. I find them very realistic and relatable. My fiance is also from London (we are currently living here) but will be moving back to Aus (Melb) sometime this/next year. Thanks for answering my question about Rye, I was curious about living away from the city but looks like you will be moving back to the city (Sydney). Can't wait to see more content from you. Good luck with your move.
Thanks so much for sharing. Love that you are talking about fiber content in clothing and that its important to you. This is one of the first things I look at. I don't even try on cloths if the fiber content won't "Rot" i.e. return to the earth without harming it--so natural fibers like you mentioned, cotton, linen etc. This is one issue that many minimalist/eco fashion youtubers aren't necessarily talking about and its an important way we can help reduce harm caused at every stage of clothing production. In addition to buying less and much more. Thank you for sharing and Congrats!!
Hey Emily! Many thanks for responding my looong last question. I cried listening to you. I kind of live the same overwhelming life and excessive responsibility. Thanks for all your advices. Good luck with the moving! I’m sure everything will be ok. Keep positive. Also, good luck with you full time job changing. You rock on it! Will win! Love from Brazil 💙
Congrats! Your hard work is paying off! Thanks for sharing all your content. I particularly liked this video and getting to know you. At the start you talked about Victoria and thought what? I thought you were in Sydney!!! finally at the end you revealed the move, so I was right! I am experiencing anxiety for the first time in my life...hello menopause! Deep breathing and shutting off to the daily grind is SO important. COVID has taught me to be more relaxed, more loving, more generous and truly be in the moment and be grateful for what is real right now! Being happy is a choice, which is easy for me to say cause I have never been rock bottom. However, you need to make the right choices along the way and be the captain of your ship always!! XX
Congratulations on 50,000 subscribers. You are both going to love Sydney it’s great. I love Four frogs it’s a French restaurant that cooks crepes, absolutely amazing! Look them up.
Ohhhh wow beautiful conten, Congratulations to your engagement, you are absolutely right, lanzarote is a beautiful magical place, My husband and I really enjoyed our honeymoon there in 2012 there is something about the whole Island that giving peace and calm feeling.
The budgeting makes sense to me - savings in high interest, no fees on another. Don’t worry about having too many accounts if you aren’t loosing lots of money to fees. You are doing great! Emergency fund and all! (My partner is a banker, so I learnt from a pro. 😂)
You are such a lovely person but you have the wrong idea when it comes to fossil fuels and polyester which is a byproduct of it. Polyester helps the poor because it is cheap and readily available. Not everyone can afford $100 pair of underwear. You speak to the elites of the world. Why not address the majority of the world population? If you denounce polyester and make them unavailable, many people will not be able cloth themselves. There is a lot more to learn about fossil fuels than meets the eye. Why not read a book called The Moral Case for fossil fuel”? It will open your eyes. Thank you
Hey love. I understand that completely. I personally think if someone is in the position to avoid polyester than they should, if they’re not in the position to do so then obviously they shouldn’t. I encourage my subscribers to shop 2nd hand if it’s available to them, which is a great way to shop eco-friendly on a budget, and I also encourage those who can afford it to avoid polyester and invest in fabrics that don’t affect the planet. I know a lot of my audience are in this position as they do shop for new clothes often. I completely understand what you are saying and I have researched this topic and I agree that polyester has to remain in production for those who need it. Also organic cotton underwear can retail at around $20 but that’s not the point ♥️ I hope you understand where I am coming from.
@@EmilyElizabethMay Hi Elizabeth, My personal view on fossil fuels is completely different than yours. Most people think fossil fuel is evil but fossil fuel has done so much to elevate the poor and relieve suffering all over the world. Think about how fossil fuel has improved famine because of machines that have replaced manual labor. "Sustainable" is a trendy term that people throw around to feel good about themselves but I don't like the word sustainable. Sustainable mean to keep it the same. Don't you think progress is a better term? I am not saying fossil fuel doesn't contribute some harm to the earth and the environment but the alternative is actually to regress. climate change hysteria has been going on for years. Al Gore predicted true planetary emergency in 10 years in 2008. 10 years have come and gone and we are still here. I just wanted to give you an alternative way of thinking about things. Most of us get trapped in an echo chamber. Your efforts in using "sustainable", green fabric and products may sound good but those feel good fabrics might actually contribute to more world harm than good. Just a food for thought. Thanks! Other than that, I think your channel is enjoyable.
Rye is beautiful best in winter without tourists. Lovely long walks on the beach next to water that is often crystal clear
The beach in Rye is so far the most beautiful beach I came across in Melbourne... :)
