Phoebe is absolutely adorable. My soul dog Teddy had seizures at the end of his life. I was told brain tumor. We tried absolutely everything. He was too old and weak for CT scan but the symptoms seemed to align. The phenobarbital made him worse for sure. In fact within 3 days he also almost died from it. I'm glad I listened to my gut and we took him off. Keppra was "ok" - cbd helped some. We also see a holistic vet and he took several Chinese herbs. Eventually with his age and the trauma from the seizures, we decided to let him go at home. He's the whole reason I learned to crochet. They are absolutely a part of the family. I'm so glad to hear your baby is stable and doing well.
Wow, I've watched for a bit, but I didn't know your dog had Idiopathic Epilepsy! Mine does as well, he's actually the whole reason I started crocheting - crochet kept me calm on his episode days which in turn helped him stay calm ❤️ My boy Arlo started having them just before his 1st birthday in April 2023, he's 2 now. I would absolutely go to hell and back for him, he's my boy and the happiest dog I've ever had the privilege of calling mine. We've almost lost him several times, even with all the meds he's on, but I'll do what I can to give him the best life possible! So glad your girl is okay! It's tough, but worth it for them ❤ P.S. I second your statement to definitely get pet insurance. We did not have it for him and it's something I'll get for any future dog because yeah... the weekend you described, we had to do that 5x and it was a big YIKES 😅
I 100% agree on the people saying they can make it themselves. I’m a 16yr old crochet artist so I’m younger then most but I’ve been selling at markets for over a year now and every single market I get so many people who tell me they can make it themselves or can make it for cheaper/better. I made a giant plushie that I made for eye catcher and it is a pretty price but yarn cost for it was $80 and the amount of people that tells me they can make it for cheaper/better is crazy to me
Random idea with people taking pictures of your products at shows…you could make a little framed sheet and picture of a particular item with a qr code and set it next to the item you created with something like “scan to purchase this pattern I designed, so you can create this critter too.” I don’t sell crochet, but I still get those people too with my bracelets - gotta try to find ways to still sell to them ;) great vlog to listen to while I work!
The Jim Dale ones are good, but I love the Stephen Fry even more. May I suggest googling them, they are free to listen to online. And idk I just love them.
