took a parachute cord bracelet, removed the plastic clasps and used my door latch striker plate/stacked with magnets in place of the bracket clasp. functional jewelry.
All you have to do is push the alarm to one corner on both side as far to the corner as you can get it. This allows the strings enough slack to just slide them off the product
Let me share my personal experience when I used to shoplift: Get 4 N52 grade Neodymium Magnets. Place them in 2 rows of 2. Duct tape them together in that configuration. There ya go! I used that *plenty* of times to take off Spiderwraps when I was stealing. I don't do that anymore though since I now have kids and don't need to risk jail anymore.

It's a long, thin rectangle die-pressed out of thin spring steel. That's it. I don't believe the N S/S N magnetic poles matter, just the strength of the magnets and the particular distance apart.

just get a magnet from an old harddrive, the kind thats flat and curved, they have opposing poles on the same side so it'll work to lift the latch when laid flat across the top, their fool proof, HD magnets are so strong they'll go right to the exact spot needed to open it

It will not set off a door alarm in almost every store. Stores in the US wont detect magnets alone. Most cameras are for show and dont move. In Los Angeles California you have to be caught with more than $900 worth of items to get a felony, otherwise it's a citation IF the officer even shows up or feels like giving you a ticket. I'm not condoning stealing but all the info you gave was wrong or greatly exaggerated in most places. The main way people get caught is suspicious attitude, staying too long in one place, and suspicious appearance. I'm speaking from the perspective of loss prevention. I use magnets to lock the stolen or attempted stolen gear and I have yet to set an alarm off.

However, a certain chain (We don't need to be specific) is going all out in implementing better tracking to get solid evidence. As you probably well know, most stops aren't by the books and many shoplifters are hard catch and can even set you up for a "bad stop". I'm certainly not condoning anybody actions. Just pointing out that some stores have had to go the extra mile in some cases to catch certain people. "California laws", that says it all ! I mean, I don't think that shop lifting should be a federal offense, but whatever.

Trust me, 7 time f€loπ, with 40+ misdemeanors. They have no clue what that is. I had the actual ∆lpha S3 key brand handkey in my hand when my partner got busted (dumb bihhh, so I did subsequently too). I hid it in my pants until the holding cell. We ended up being released a couple hours later because we were downtown in Lima, OH. Gh€tto ass area and gh€tto ∆ss Walmart we got (well SHE GOT US Both BUSTED - Yes I'm blaming her bc they only knew I was with her bc she got caught first and pointed me out. I've been doing this since I was 12. I'm not 37) in a super high ©®īme area.
