I have the craftsman yt3000. The pto Power take off lever is disconnected somehow and have no clue what it connects to under the hood. Do you have a video on how to repair it?

Your hickup is the low side idle jet if you look at the carb from the engine side you will see a little hole and a slot. This is where fuel comes out at an idle. This circuit is clogged causing the engine to gallop. Clean the circuit gallop goes away. Save yourself the money for the carb. Also i noticed the fuel shut off. Im guessing the crank case fills with gas if you leave the fuel on. Its the fuel shutoff at the bottom of the carb. Common problem. Order a new one👍

My dads craftsman yt3000 doesn't want to go forward or reverse. It's a YT3000 though not a YTS. Any suggestions?

Is the neutral pin pulled on the back?

@@JasonVeisberg You wouldn't happen to have a picture of where the neutral/disengage hooks up to the transmission do you? Mine fell off, luckily it is engaged, but I have no way to push it...other than taking a tire off and removing the key.

Just sell the other mower just how it is. Just make it fire up and mow then go 250to 300 for it.

Hey you could buy 10 of those gaskets and it still leak its a bad design..what ya need is right stuff gasket maker by permatex..tarly has a good video showing how to do it. In the future I wouldn't buy anything with a kohler courage single cylinder just straight junk.. you got lucky this one doesn't have the crack block like 80 percent do.

I cut 8-10 ACRES a week on our place with a 46" troy bilt xp with a 20 courage on it, best damn mower and engine i have ever had. I have 2 my wife and I use on our place, can't kill the things. I keep up pretty well on my stuff but even still, the amount of abuse I put these things through and they just keep on tickin shows how decently built they are. You must simply get all the neglected stuff, so you are gonna see the sad cases while the good ones are still cuttin great.
