Fantastic. I am so happy to find this. I had a few of these I bought years ago for tree ornaments. Through the years they were crushed and flattened. Your instructions are very clear. Thank you for posting.
I was talking to my friend around the dinner table yesterday, about when I was a child 50 years ago and how My My used to make fish out of florist ribbons. She said I should check UA-cam and wow here they are
No one ever tells what type of ribbon. I searched all over and finally discovered that its polypropylene ribbon being used. Is it 1 7/16"? Cannot find the ribbon in any local craft store. Even the curling ribbon is too narrow. I guess I will have to buy something online and hope I get the right thing.
The best is 3/4" cut in half to 3/8" which is getting hard to find since the bag & tissue days have come upon us. You can find vintage satin sheen in this size and a hint is to find sticks to itself in regular hallmark or other gift wrap brands. You can use 3/8" or 10mm curling ribbon so you don't have to split it also. You can find some metallics or foil type that works gr8. I have been making these fish for over 35 yrs for mobiles. Do not get acetate floral ribbon as it frays. Same on both sides is best but not required. I hope this helps.
Your video is so easy to follow! Glad I found you. My roommates mother used to make these years ago and I've always wanted to know how to make them.
Thank you for posting this. I used to have a mobile of these fishes in different colors when I was little. Always wondered how it was done.

An extremely helpful and easy fish without buying many things😇
Thank you so much! I had made these years ago and completely forgot the instructions. So easy to follow! 🐟 🙏
I enjoyed the background music too! Usually very annoying. Thanks for sharing this craft ❤
Thank you, I used to make these as a kid and couldn’t remember as an adult. Have been searching for the instructional🙏💜
