I need to hear these 911 calls and what operators were saying to these terrified people witnessing this. Were they told officers were being dispatched? After more that a few calls how could they not see the urgency here?? So infuriating.

What I don't get is the fact that the neighbors told the dispatchers her ADDRESS. A restraining order isn't just tied to an individual it's also tied to the individual's home. You'd think that would be the first thing to come up after they gave an address and name. If it's not it should be. Her family has a solid case against the police department. They can say ALL DAY LONG how it was only "priority 2". The truth is someone, or maybe many more, someone's decided it wasn't a priority even after MULTIPLE CALLS. That poor woman lost her life when law enforcement could've saved her. Bunch of bs.

This is so sad, how badly she was let down by the system and police! Truly horrifying.
Still as someone from Europe the amount of guns people have is also scary. I am all for people having them for self protection, but there is so much misuse of them daily and with mass shootings that I just can't agree with USA's stance for guns. It's just insane to me that there still isn't proper gun control or better way of doing checks on people buying guns.

I live in San Diego and called last year for help during an active standoff between me and a woman who had been stalking my childhood home while my late father was living there. A week after he died, I stopped by to find weird signs she'd posted and signs of a breakin. I called 911 after busting into the front door and she'd removed the door knob. I'm a dumbass for just charging in but she was violating my dead loved ones. Still even with screaming and her refusing to leave, the police left me there with her for 3 hours after many calls, and my uncle arriving to help me. I'm so upset it took 3 hours for a response.

Couldn’t agree more, Rachel! We have trained our children as well (with g**s, self defense), our 21 year old daughter and 18 year old son are VERY trained and comfortable with these. Our daughter is now a Mom and has moved thousands of miles away and I’m very HAPPY that she owns and knows how to use a g** to protect herself and her family, and the same goes for me and our 18 year old son. Our 5 year old son has not been taught how to handle or shoot YET, but we will be teaching him soon. I don’t want my kids or anyone I love to rely on someone else for their own personal safety, I want them to know how to protect THEMSELVES. As do their father and I.❤️👌🤷‍♀️❤️
