I have been to St Lawrence Market when it still has the atmosphere of a wet market many yeas ago. Lots of great selections of fresh produce and meat items at very reasonable price.

Good job! In two months, you did really well and accomplished lots of things the new comers would not be able to do in such a short time. Since you got a car now, you can drive to Niagara Falls where you can explore the wine tours and outlet mall etc. You can also go to Costco where you find a lot of things you need but you need to get an annual membership. Hope you both find a job soon! Good luck!

Everyone in the east end go to Diana's seafood. I usually buy Half a dozen each type(6 each) (they usually have about 10-15 types of oysters in store)

You missed the Italian sandwiches at the bottom level (just across the butter tarts store). They carry the best sandwiches, I used to eat that every week when working at downtown.
Also buster sea cove at the upper floor has good crab cakes.
A sandwich would to too much for us that day cause we just finished lunch haha🤣🤣will definitely try it next time

It is surprising, or even amazing for you to know that within two weeks, you can witness St. Jean Baptise Day (commonly known as moving day in Quebec) in Quebec when the French population celebrates their heritage (national day) , then a week later, they will join the rest of the country, celebrate Canada Day, yet on July 14, the French once again celebrate their French national day Bastille Day.
All citizens show off their heritage and take part in these three distinguished national days without any threat, any prejudice, or police interference. No one is accused of being anti-government or accused to overthrow the government.

They don't celebrate July 14th in Quebec but they celebrate St .Jean Baptiste Day their patrion saint on June 24th. Lots of traffics piling up between Montreal and Quebec City.

Hi Chloe&012, everything is gonna be fine. First of all you both are young and well-educated. Your situation should be much better than many people here. Two main factors to get yourselves a better living in Toronto. One is getting a decent job. Do not settle for a job you're not satisfied. You do not deserve a below average paid which many employers will offer. Move on when a better opportunity comes. I trust that opportunities here for people who have higher educations like you two are plenty. So, keep building up your profile, English ability, connections and friends . It shouldn't take smart people like you two young ladies long to get to the management level. Second is a car. It is a must in Canada to have a car whatever for the purpose of time management or winter weather. Finally, I believe here definitely is a much better place to enjoy life and people than Hong Kong with that two hurdles resolved. All the best HKers! 加油 ! 💪💪💕

One of the best place for your grocery shopping. If you can come for farmer market, a lot of local produces are waiting for you. Get a good coffee and fresh baked crescent for Saturday breakfast, way to enjoy life. The world of Honey with all the honey over the glove, you will be happy to try it out. If you enjoy cheese, this is the way to shop here. Cheer up, welcome to Canada. Here you can go back to school anytime, do what you want, is a free world waiting for you.

@@chloeand012 间食店好似叫 European Delight; 第一層仲有一間麵包店, 以前周潤發在多倫多拍電影時每日都買一個豬肉包, 店前有發哥張簽名相, 好容易認到。

但是，這邊老師的工作不好找。我曾經在某school board工作過，才發現原來老師很難找工作。我單位的兩個同事，也是因為找不到老師的工作才轉行到我們的單位做。不過也講運氣，疫情期間因為網課實體課堂需要大量老師，所以請了很多老師，不少人畢業出來就找到全職老師的工作。但這種趨勢還會持續多久？疫情終將結束，學校也會在9月恢復正常。還會需要這麼多老師嗎？所以建議還是多了解。免得花費時間和心力重新獲得了certificate，但卻找不到工作。

@@maynardlim7812 其實還有一個問題，就是個制度對年輕老師好不公平。有些資深的老師，退休之後無聊，就跟相熟的校長說要求返聘他們回去教。他們咁樣根本係剝奪年輕老師的機會。而且也浪費納稅人的錢。因為資深老師的工資一定比年輕老師的工資要高。而且資深老師也不見得比年輕老師好。疫情期間，更加顯示出年輕老師的優勢，他們更加容易適應新的教學模式。我不是讀教育，也不是做老師（上上邊那個網友誤會我了），我只是從旁觀者的角度覺得好浪費人才。
來咗多倫多咁耐，都未去過st.Lawrence Market，睇你哋拍嘅片就夠了 。 免牛3磅要11蚊？咁真係好貴啊，我Loblaws 買平好多（平一半）
肉真的貴少少，但勝在新鮮點同一啲特別位置都有得買～我哋多數都係Loblaws / no frills買～
很喜歡你們的 channel. 生蠔可以去 Scarborough Diana Seafood, 價錢就海鮮價啦，每款都唔同，平均三蚊都差不多啦。工作上真的要乜都試下，這裡當中小學老師是最難的一回事（工會+鐵飯碗+teachers college masters)，比教大專大學還要難 - 你有 masters 可以教大專，讀 PhD 可以教大學了。

Canada is a sports and nature country. 30 years ago I came here with my family when I just got my bachelor degree in HK. It was recession here at the time and I went back to school and studied another field. I have used the professional qualification I got here and have been working as my career till now. You both are young, I would strongly recommend to start or continue the study here and get a professional qualification. You are still able to go to a higher salary range.
