Dang, thanks for hanging in there with me during the newsletter mishap this morning. Due to the mixup, you’re getting two videos and posts in one day. Enjoy!
This is the first time I have come across your channel. I really enjoyed how you made the difference between doodling and tangling. I can tell you’re a CZT! I too am one! ! I love how you have incorporated tangles on your art journaling page and that has really inspired me to do that. Thank you so much. I loved this video.
I love this. I used to make junk journals and do lots of mixed media art, and I'm now into tangling so I love the concept of tying the two together. Not sure my husband will feel the same when all the mixed media stuff is all over the dining table again though.....
Thank you! Lol, I know how you feel. When it was time for my middle daughter to have her own room, I gave up my craft room and moved my stuff into the "formal" living room. I mean, who needs a formal living room anyway, right?
So interesting to see your process and fun to know things don’t always but if you stick with them, they just might. Thank you, Amber .
This is my first time watching you. I prefer the right-hand page because it is lighter. I like those colors and designs. I’ll check out another of your videos. Thanks for this one.
So beautiful and inspiring! Thank you for sharing your talent! Linda
Loved this video so much I subscribed and will be buying those stickers! This style really speaks to me, the blue green colors plus the botanical theme, my favorites! I have been wanting to use Zentangle in other things besides the tiles that sometimes can be too dense with pattern. I was looking through UA-cam videos looking for something to spark some creative action and found it, I am so inspired!
Thanks, Susan! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I generally enjoy Zentangle much more when I add it to cards and journal pages. There's something about the colors and other goodies, that bring the tangles to life for me. Happy tangling!
Thanks Amber, I really appreciated how you worked thru your pages, which turned out beautifully
Thank you Amber! I’m glad you showed us how you transformed your pages❤️
Amazing Amber, it seems like you could put anything on a page and it would look good! It was interesting to see how you worked through the page you didn’t like to start with, a good lesson in not giving up and how art can be as much about the process as the end result. Thank you for sharing. 😘❤️
Thanks, Orla! Yes, don't give up! There's almost always something you can do to improve the page. And to be honest, when I sleep on it overnight, it usually looks better in the morning.
Hello just found your channel and am loving your work! I love zentangle and doodling along with watercolor and doing some journal pages. Your combo of things is so interesting to me. Thanks for sharing! I'll be subbing right now!🥰
love, love, this is REAL mixed media. wathing for the next video, just got a new sub
Welcome to the channel, Kristen! Thanks so much. I'm fairly new to mixed media and thrilled to hear you enjoyed the video.
Love it !
Well, lucky for us! I like both pages. The sentiment really makes page 1. Page is really lovely.
Thanks so much, Nancy! I had a pile of printed sentiments on my desk, and I thought those were perfect for the occasion too.
Absolutely beautiful! I loved watching your process. I am fairly new to art journaling and I have a lot of ugly pages! This encouraged me to go back and try and rescue them. As a CZT you explained Zentangle perfectly. I look forward to watching more of your content. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much, Mary. Yes, the ugly pages. I used to dread them, but I have finally embraced the cover-up. It's all part of the mixed media process.
Beautiful art Journal pages 🥰 I love your work of art, it's so inspiring to watch ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
You can also use the pages you discard your paint on.
Totally. I doodled on the paper I cleaned my brayer off on and collaged that onto the page on the left. Often the brayer off pages are just as pretty and useful as the gel prints themselves.
So excited to get another video so soon.
I love that art is such a personal perspective. I truly loved the brown messy leaves on the first page and where it was going. I couldn't see the "Ugly" that you seen, but that is the beauty of just being able to create and see what speaks to you. The 2nd page is so elegant, soft and dream like, i really want to get my Gelli plate out now and just start creatng. Thank you.
I couldn't agree more. It's totally possible that two days later I would have loved the brown leaves. Art is so tied into the emotions at the moment of creation. Fascinating, really. Thanks a bunch and have fun with your gel prints!
