Can I beat a Pokemon Randomizer Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?
Nuzlocke rules:
Fainted Pokemon must be permanently boxed
Only the first encounter on any given route may be caught (dupes clause)
All pokemon must be nicknamed
Hardcore Rules:
Always Set mode
No items from the bag option in battle (held items are ok)
No overleveling the next gym leader

@@Sightss_ yea the removed a shit ton of moves for sword and shield because it “helped the competitive scene”. Even though there were countless things made worse due to the removal of certain moves.
@@daviddaniel8304 and that ended up sending the ou titan Tyranitar out of the tier for the first time in the six generations it was in the game.

Great video! Though, Tera Blast is special until you terastallize with it, then it becomes either physical or special based off which attacking stat is higher. This is why Overquil's Tera Blast at the end didn't do much, it was still a Special move since you hadn't used your Tera.

@@antlerboylive Yeah true it's a special attack normally, but it's a normal type move. It's not until you Terastallize that it turns into whatever Tera Type your Mon is. So it only turns poison for Overqwil when it Terastallizes
it brings me so much joy to see my favourite Pokémon Inteleon not only be such an important member of the team, but also survive all the way to the end, Keegan should've been honoured that Inteleon was named after him lol.

Leafeon definitely hits my sweet spot, closely followed by Glaceon. Just loving their designs, and the firepower that they bring with them.

For me Glaceon is the best
24:50 so when you use tera blast without teralization, it stays as a special type attack move. It is only when you tera your pokemon the move picks which attacking stat is higher.
So when you used it on overquil, tera blast did not recognize your physical buffs because you did not tera.
Ceruledge is dope af made it through damn near the whole challenge and it was a toss up that you even got to evolve him.

Ceruledge is basically my starter. It's been with me since the around the start of my first playthrough and was always the first pokemon I sent out (once ot evolved of course) and swept through Poppy and almost all of Larry's team. It was, no, IS the G.O.A.T.
The champion battle was so epic and cool that Poppy made a surprise cameo to watch the fight unfold
The amount of Hisui rep this specific randomizer had was crazy cool, I very much enjoyed Hisui and two of my favorite mons are from there being Goodra and Arcanine.

That section where you lost half your team to silly errors was far too relatable lol. But I think it perfectly reflects how, in a nuzlocke, you are never safe and just a small slip up can cost you greatly. No matter how good things may be going

I the normal gym, that Dudunsparce, was a shiny 3 segment which is a 1 in 405600 chance 😮 that gym leader is very lucky 🎉🎉🎉

that sequence before tulip...that might be some of the biggest throws I've seen in a nuzlocke ever, especially since they were all because of just not paying attention

8:04 a couple of things regarding the Iono fight my dude. Firstly, Slow Start does not halve Special Attack, only Attack and Speed so you were definitely dead to crit there. Secondly, Pursuit was removed in Gen 8, so you don’t have to worry about getting trapped like that. I hope this was a wealth of information

Honestly I enjoy how you handle randomizers, so many change evos, moveset, abilities and base stats so it’s not even enjoyable to watch half the time, here enough of the original game is still here with the rando changes to breathe life into the game
Hisuian Sliggoo CAN evolve in Paldea. Same way as regular Sliggoo. Wait for the rain and level it up at 50.

Great Video!!! I really like how creative exciting these nuzlocke challenges can be. Also I have a question I've been trying nuzlocke on a pokemon game I have never played before with little success. Should I do a casual playthrough for game knowledge or change the rules of my nuzlocke challenge?
good question! I think just playing a regular nuzlocke without the hardcore additions could be fun. Alternatively some kind of variant where Pokemon have 2 or 3 lives to still have permanent stakes, but not be brutally punished by lack of game knowledge :)

Iono’s shiny electrode gives me flashbacks of when I found my own shiny electrode and killed it, with a water type as well. I thought using surf with my level 80 blastoise to weaken it was a good idea
Perfectly enough, my favorite Eeveelution is actually Espeon. Ever since I played Crystal and spent just over 20 levels, way too many vitamins, and all of my sanity, to evolve Bill’s Eevee into an Espeon.
His name was Eon and I loved him so much, I juiced him up so good that he literally devastated the E4. Unfortunately I lost that game and now him and the rest of my beloved team are gone forever.

Slow Start only affects the Attack and Soeed of a mon. Not it's special attack.
