the Lord bless you and comfort you Nathan...just by sharing this, reveals your kindness and thoughtfulness and a comfort you were to your dad....this is also one of the songs listed I want played to me if I am in pain or comatose. Be well and kind and pray to the Lord to help you during unexpected times of grieving and tears...crying to the Lord for comfort, the Lord saves your tears ...Psalm56.8

Worked at a grocery store and on veterans day a 95+ year old man came through the line. I thanked him for his service. He looked up shocked to me and paused then said, "you're the first person who's ever thanked me for my service."
I had to hold back the tears as he walked off back into the world and I helped the next customer and went back into the automated questions of "do you have a club card, want help out with your bags?

    Don't go around tonight
Well it's bound to take your life

I know the end is coming soon

no, Laura's got it right. Fogerty talked about that urban legend in a couple of interviews and said it wasn't anything to do with soldiers at all. You gotta wonder how people write things that they claim are true when it's just their imaginations. Stick to facts, BLUEY, don't make your imagined interpretations 'fact'. It's DEEP, true, but nothing to do with what you wrote. (And the claim that soldiers had a 90% chance of death when going out on a full moon, is absolute bullshit. BLUEY is just making stuff up)

I don't believe it is the eclipse date itself but VERY VERY VERY soon... perhaps 40 days after. I hope you are a genuine Jesus Christ follower because MANY will be slain when everyone's worst nightmares come to life and destroy them for their sinfulness. This is serious, pray pray pray and prepare. Look for the Aurora Borealis in the sky and that will leave you around 1 hour to seek shelter. The sun will not give it's light for 3 days and electricity will only be in the house of the faithful believers (supernaturally granted).

CCR music during the Vietnam war era. Our Country is near Vietnam and I grew up in a City with a US military base and I could hear their music being played in our neighborhood. I was still very young at that time. Such a nostalgic moment for me.

it is strange that CCR songs defined the Vietnam war era feelings so well, we all felt there was "a bad moon rising" and thought "who will stop the rain" and we knew we were not the "fortunate ones" "running through the jungle". That music raised our spirits, we were all young guys.

This song was prophetic in 1969! My brother loved/loves Creedence. There were 9 of us siblings in our family. I don't think our parents were too thrilled when the roof was ready to come off of the house with all the different genre of 🎶🎵 music we all listened to at a much higher level than they would like.🤣Dad and mom: Turn that down!! Us: Dad and mom's gone crank it!!!! 😂 I don't think Fogerty realized that almost 53 years later just how prophetic this song would be right now! I found this in an excerpt from Fogarty and he said, My song wasn't about Mr. Scratch, and it wasn't about the deal," Fogerty told Rolling Stone in 1993. "It was about the apocalypse that was going to be visited upon us."I took it in a biblical sense, meaning hurricanes and lightning. … Scary, spooky stuff."
(Regarding a movie, Fogerty explained that the inspiration for the song came from the imagery in the film as opposed to the actual plot) Matthew 24, John 3:16, Romans 10:9-10, John 14:6 Jesus speaking, I am the way the truth and the life no man comes unto the father but by me.
