I just watched sonic 3 today and the end post credit scene was insane
14:31 Shadows speed is part of his powers. His powers are still pretty mysterious so the long story short is: Shadow uses air shoes (like skates) to run fast, and when he rides a motorcycle the bike moves at his speed. Him riding a motorcycle is his choice, it’s never stated why he rides one.
I believe the first time he did was in Shadow the Hedgehog (2005 game).

The shoes are from Sonic Adventure 2! Back in the Dreamcast era Sega did a collaboration with Soap Shoes (rail grinding shoes), which is a real thing! Always been one of my favorite Sonic Facts. 8:46
The shoes that Sonic is wearing is the soap shoes or the Hi-Speed shoes as they’re officially called, it was in a partnership between a grind shoe company called soap, and Sonic wore those shoes in Sonic Adventure 2 which is what the movie’s based on, and if you put the shadow and Sonic funko pops together they even do the pose they do in the box art of Sonic Adventure 2

I believe Shadow was first seen in the Nintendo GameCube game Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. He seems to run like Sonic, but more in a gliding fashion, and you can play him in the game, as well as other characters. I also bought many of the Lego sets, Sonic is one of my favorite franchises ever! Hope to pick up more Pops as well!

Technically it was SA2 on the Sega Dreamcast, but since that console died so quickly im not surprised most people only remember the Gamecube port lol.

Not a fan when charscters the main characters go against get nerfed so the main gets the win. Shadow was bullying bro the whole movie and then randomly loses ? Don’t make sense, shadow outclasses sonic by far and wish he hadn’t of been beat they shoulda done it a different way - also I haven’t fully seen movie just that clip, so if it went a different way tell me
The movie needed more Metal Sonic and Big the Cat
IIRC Shadow runs super fast when he very first escapes and runs over the ocean. but TBH i always wondered if his Air Shoes gave him a speed boost. also those particular shoes on Sonic are from Sonic Adventure 2, which came out on the Dreamcast and then was ported to the Gamecube. its actually pretty cool, theyre called Soap shoes and they were an actual brand in the real world, you could literally grind on rails like a skate boarder. also, the reason theres 2 different looking Eggman Pops is cuz ones Classic Eggman and ones Modern Eggman, it makes sense if you play Sonic Generations or the recent remake lol. its kinda hard to do a Pop for Classic vs Modern Sonic, i guess Modern Sonic would have Green Eyes on his Pop, would be cool if Funko made that! cool to see more people joining the Sonic fandom!
