I wouldn’t hate it. Joe Brady’s career arc so far is identical to pre-Saints Sean Payton. I would much rather have Brady than Glenn, Flores, or Vrabel.
Matt, you have repeatedly called DA "a lieutenant, not a general," and you were correct to point this out. This is the most important point for the search of our next coach. People think of Sean Payton as an offensive genius, which he may be, but he is an absolute master motivator, a skill which he learned well from Parcells. We need a general. We need a coach who is going to be the biggest guy in the room and for whom the players will sacrifice their bodies in order to earn wins. Joe Brady seems to know offensive football, but is he this type of general? Joe Brady as the Saints next coach smells a lot like Josh McDaniels at the Raiders if you ask me.
My take is Todd monken. He doesn’t check your box of young offensive coordinator but he does check the box of good offensive coordinator. What he has done with Lamar these past two years can not be overlooked. Use to be head coach at southern Mississippi as well and turned them into a winner there as well. Inherited a bad team that went 0-12 and went 1-11, 3-9, and then 9-5. To me he is someone I say we give a real look at especially if you think we’re equivalent to the bengals a few years ago before they got burrow. He might want to come here
We don’t want Joe Brady. We don’t want Aaron Glenn. We don’t want anybody that had any dealings with Sean Payton. We’re moving on from that era not bringing it back.
The defensive-minded Head Coach isn't really that bad, Denis Allen is bad at general leadership, in that case, I wouldn't mind Mike Vrabel and Klint still running the offense and see where it goes
I don’t think he needs to be the head coach. We need someone that’s going to change the culture by being a hard ass on these millionaires that do not feel they need to be comfortable for their actions. That’s real talk keeping it 100.
The situation in NO with the salary cap, age of the roster, and lack of depth makes NO not a desirable job for a high demand or established head coach that is going to want to come in and start rolling immediately with a focus on being a contender not having to commit to at least a few years of rebuilding. NO will have to get another "Sean Payton type". Meaning, a young guy that is not at the top of the head coaching list. Doesn't have big name cache and is willing to go to a less desirable location, which NO was when they hired Payton. Patyon, did get lucky in that Miami passed on Drew Brees so he didn't really have to go through too many rebuilding pains. Joe Brady may fit the profile. An organization in a rough situation, and a young offensive coach that doesn't have a long rock solid resume. Remember, Payton had play calling duties taken away from him as offensive coordinator with the Giants. And Brady hit that rough patch with Carolina. Pair Joe Brady with a Carson Beck, Cam Ward, Nussmier, etc. Let them set a year or so under Carr while they rebuild the roster and a few years down the road you may have the makings of a solid team.
I see the vision, but the reason why I’m kinda hesitant on Brady mostly it’s because of the fact we saw him call plays in Carolina and he didn’t do too well I get you can make the argument that he didn’t have that much help and he was set up for failure in Carolina but at the same time a lot of people make do with what they have
Forget Candidates, you got to stand still and play your cards. Then see what you are able to do with your hand. Wait till the off season to pick someone. Time now is to play out the season and then make adjustments in the off season. The only reasonable and guarantee
Joe Brady is early in the process. It’s hard to judge if he’s good or not because he has Josh Allen to cover his flaws. Bobby Slowik is the clear choice he developed CJ Stourd and is part if that rebuild
Klint Kubiak he young off the Shanahan tree he's already here if Rizzi turns him loose we will see Rizzi maybe the one he looks to be a fighter no quit whatever it take to win let your people do their job type guy
I don't think he is allowed to talk to coaches from other teams until the season is over. NFL tampering rule. That not saying he shouldn't be doing his research on his candidates . Definitely needs to upgrade our scouting department and upgrade our medical personnel or out source it
I like joe brady, or the Lions OC, or the G.O..A..T. bill billechick ..... I definitely don't wanna draft travis hunter, give me TMAC we need a big body WR, I don't think it's a QB worth a top 10 pick .... free agent QBs is out there, hopefully we can trade carr
If you go with someone like Bobby Slowik what do you then do with Klint Kubiak? Just marry those two together and bring in more wrinkles to the offense?
if we are 2-7 (meaning we played 9 games) we should only have 8 games remaining... not 9, not 10.. Also +300 on betting terms means you get 300 profit on every 100 you place not the other way around! Stop confusing people, love your show Matt but this was your worst for a while.. stick to one per day, less quantity more quality please!
@ if you’re truly good, then you’re truly good. Look what what Demeco Ryans did for the Texans. Texans were as bad as today’s panthers and he went there and immediately turned the franchise around when he got there. Drafted Stroud and nailed their draft picks and became relevant right away
We definitely don’t want Loomis picking the next head coach. You can’t trust him if he thinks Dennis Allen is a good coach lol
Truth lol
I don't think Mickey is GM next year if Ms Benson went over his head and fired DA.
He picked Sean Payton
@@zanethomas6826it’s not 2005 anymore , the league has changed and evolved, need a new philosophy.
@@zanethomas6826the NFL is a totally different league now and that was a long time ago.

I like Brady or Lions OC
8 games to go Matt
Math sucks dude
We can only afford to win one, maybe two

i like the idea of this
I'll gladly take Joe Brady. Honestly the way this team is setup we'd be lucky to have him choose us
We don’t want Joe Brady. We don’t want Aaron Glenn. We don’t want anybody that had any dealings with Sean Payton. We’re moving on from that era not bringing it back.
Thank you I've been saying that
There’s no point in firing DA if Loomis picks the next head coach.
Yeah Loomis will just pick DA 2.0 or someone else he plays golf with.
The defensive-minded Head Coach isn't really that bad, Denis Allen is bad at general leadership, in that case, I wouldn't mind Mike Vrabel and Klint still running the offense and see where it goes
M L is salty. He is not ready to move on nor does he have what it takes to. Just step down at GM #MickeyLoomis.
That dude is SO SALTY.
Re-subscribed!! Matt is dropping golden nuggets
The graphic shows +300 not -300. Big difference. 3:00

Good Morning love the show
Let kubiak call all the offense plays for
Now we don’t need to get another coach now that should be done in the offseason
Is it possible next season saints could go after fields in off season. Then in draft grab a wr or Travis hunter?

Fire micky why he still apart of our team 😢💯
Paints Gayle’s toenails.
She likes the way he gets them so shiny
Anyone besides Dennis omg 😊
HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO
It showed +300 not -300

Slowik been ass too tho
Josh Allen has played amazing and not turning the ball over . You got to like that
All I want is a young offensive minded head coach that runs modern scheme and can motivate the team.
You can't run any scheme modern ect without an offensive line.
@@stephenpaulrichard1403 Washington is right now. Having a good young mobile QB helps a lot.
We gotta take T and IOL in round 2 3 or 4.

Deion sanders will be interesting
He said doesn’t want to coach the nfl
My top 3 would be Johnson,Slowick and Monkin in that order
Shouldn't we look past this season...so we can start looking past the results?
Good morning
We don't need Nobody who already been on our coaching staff. No to Joe Brady, Aaron Glenn or Rizzi
Give Drizzi a chance. The players like him and he’s smarter than DA
Them people better not come in there with no Joe Brady ,Ben Johnson, Saduar Sanders, it ant rocket science 💯
You're too obvious
Loomis needs to go too for undermining Ms Gail yesterday.
Idk bruh Joe Brady had Joe burrow and Josh Allen in his best years as a playcaller idk if I can trust him without an elite qb
Joe Brady no way Jose!
Loomis gonna hire Adam gase

Why would Joe Brady want to leave a good situation in Buffalo for our dumpster fire?
An opportunity. Everyone assistant wants a shot at HC their own team.
Yall don't fw rizz so far ?
Nah we good
Fire Mickey Loomis Hire Kliff Kingsbury, Draft Cam Ward
Bill Bellycheck

Say “No” to Joe Brady!
Him and lane kiffin would be nice Who dat
He just signed extension last game
John gruden
Joe Brady failed miserably in Carolina so we must take that into consideration. He looks good in buffalo because it’s JOSH FKNG ALLEN
