The video misses one important point.
When seeing the backward spin in real life at night times, another phenomenon comes into play. Neon light bulbs flicker with twice the frequency of the power supply, that is 120 Hz in the US and 100 Hz in Europe. This flicker has the same effect as the image sampling of a video camera.
I tried to figure out what would be happening in Australia, but I got dizzy.
So it’s either frame rate or… calculated adjustment of perception to accommodate for what?.. this still leaves me with questions
