This is an amazing sensory room! I can't imagine what it cost to furnish and to maintain upkeep! This is one lucky school. 😃
An outdoor sensory space with plants would also be very calming.
This makes me so happy to see and also jealous I didn’t have this as a child. I take stim breaks for work. 😂 So happy for these students! Thank you for working WITH autistics instead of treating them like they are defective and need correcting. Us autistics need support more than anything. ❤️
What kind of amzing school is this they should implement this in all schools and all kids should have access to speech ot and Aba though the school not some bs iep they see the child 2x a week.
The game "Simon" is really helping my 8 yr old son with his focus. I highly recommend this game for older kids to help with their attention deficit.
Physical therapist? This seems more like occupational therapy than physical therapy. But there is a ton of overlap between the two. I love sensory gyms! They're the best! They always make me feel super happy! I remember loving OT as a kid.
In my high school, there is like 17 sensory rooms, that is not a joke. Every one (except for the teachers and staff) has special educational needs, I personally do have SENs (albeit mild) and the school has less than 100 students including me, so yeah.
Where is this?
The school is located in Meriden, Connecticut. For more coverage of the district it's in, you can check out: www.edutopia.org/school/meriden-public-schools.

That is so cool I wish my school had a room like that but I have misophonia so that would help a lot. 😮 but in my P.E class there is a big gym, and then a little room by that where kids can go in and it is a little sensory room I guess
I need this
My boy is 4. and he has a sensor problem. but in my country is not such specialists unfortunately
I have something like this in my school so I go to a room like that but it’s smaller and I always get to go in the room whenever I need to because my teacher that’s works with me is always with me so ya
