This series with Darshan goes to prove that improvement is all about mentality and consistent and intentional practice. Darshan has an improvement mentality hardwired from his time as a league pro, just gotta channel that mentality.

Really loving this series and the one with jpc. I've been doing intentional practice most days. I've already noticed improvements in my movement and recognizing more patterns I can take advantage of mid game. The dubs haven't come through yet, but I'm sure they will soon. I was a challenger league player for a while before dropping it for other comp games, recently picking up val so this series is almost perfect targeting for how i work Sick stuff
Hey, risk global domination world championship finalist here, in that scenario it would probably actually make the most sense to send the 6 troops to the square that's connected to both borders. Risk is a psychological warfare game (especially in the 1v1v1 situation) where you want to dissuade others from attacking. Having those troops exactly 1 square away from combat is a way to say "if you attack me i'm slamming those 7s in your face". In this specific case it's -i'd say- the best default move against most opponents because you re saying it to 2 people. A good valorant analogy would be fast rotate to hold with recon on each site, with a backup retake plan if ennemies are too fast
So idk if this will be seen, but I think an awesome comparison for "minimap mode" for league players is to treat checking your map like recalling. You're always looking to get in the nearest brush (break LoS) or you know for a fact nobody is around cause they all showed on vision. So whenever you want to look map, you need to "recall"
FYI: in csgo, you do accelerate in the air but in any competitive scenario, there is a max velocity (you can turn it off with commands in private lobbies/ custom servers or other custom gamemodes)
The way Darshan says stuff like, “oh god thats so good coach, tell me more!” Is so reminiscent of how my collegiate MOBA team treated our coach. So sarcastic i love it

If you want to play entry but like having a non linear play style, I’d say Raze. Requires a lot of work in the Custom games though, working on double satchels and routing. Personally, I play Jett (and Neon on Fracture) because it’s much easier to learn. I also agree with my fellow student above me that flash initiator is a great one- you’re usually taking first contact and are second on site, trading your duelist. 38:50 just a deeper thought going into this position wouldn't it be better to double up with the astra rather than attempting the crossfire, since (what I would think) the kayo can feel uncomfortable exposed to two angles so he'd tuck inside and maybe try to catch the guy trying to take halls in a 2v1. Which can lead to a isolated 1v1 with the astra + in lower elo is less likely people attempt double swings (last part is more debatable) ps. Im diamond
My general motto is to only post content that I personally would've watched when I was a lower rated player. I don't consume short form content so I don't post it. I firmly believe that if you can hit Challenger in League of Legends, you can hit High Elo in ANY game that is competitive. Not because you are just a prodigy for hitting chal or anything but because league requires SO much introspection and self-dissection to realize your mistakes, hone your strengths, adapt to constantly and quickly changing game states, and have good reflexes for high level plays. on the sage discussion. I would clear that angle probably 70% of the time if it was a 3v4 where they late rotated like this. Esp with a cypher on enemy team. Could you make a video explaining the mini map mode and crosshair mode in further detail?
I think it's explained somewhat in the minimap refrag video, but basically, if you dont have a reason to look at your crosshair you should look at your minimap.
Times to look at crosshair:
- when you're the entry
- when you're holding an angle that the enemy can peek
- when you're actively fighting :P
Times to look at minimap:
- when you aren't the entry/first contact (ie when you are the one who is looking to refrag/trade)
- when you're jumpspotting
- when rotating through safe space
- anytime the enemy has no way to shoot you (like when fns was in halls, or when you are tucked looking to trade a teammate)
Alright tysm
Oh yea i forgot,
you should also look at your minimap when reloading, which itself is derived from the inference that you should never reload when there is a threat.
