boring... seriously if you can't tell the difference between this souless set versus one from mills, rob hood, rolando, etc.. ignorance is bliss i suppose. there should be at least one part of each track that sings , this is just boring. seriously go and listen to the people who invented this music,
I like it. I also love second wave detroit as being arguably the most important musical movement in the last 30 years. So yes i know Bobby and Jeff very well and have seen them both numerous times. I also think grindvik as well as other swedes like lekebusch, Joel Mull, and YESSS Adam Beyer, made for an impressive movement of their own from the mid 90s to the naughties particularly in their treatment of percussion and its finely tuned integration with melody. A unique sound, comparable in ways to the Birmingham work by the likes of surgeon perhaps, but still substantially creative and original. One part of each track that sings....that's an interesting approach, but i dare say that it needn't be the model for every techno DJs creative impetus behind the decks.
