Thank you for introducing me to this region. I still can't believe the vastness of the landscape. The river at the end of video, I bet this is beautiful in winter too. I have tried looking up detailed history of this region regarding the 1917 revolution and second world war, but I cannot find anything. Something meaningful must have happened here in order to erect a monument. Also, the T-64 tank, why put it here? Maybe the answers are in the Museum. I love the commemorative sign of 1699, looks like corn or wheat? On a side note, I love the houses you were walking passed. I want to compare the process of buying a house in England with Russia. Let's say I wanted to buy one of these houses. Firstly, how much are they going for? Is there tax you have to pay? Running costs. Basically, if you know, any information regarding buying one of these country houses. At the moment, my brother is buying a house in England, and he is having big problems with the land registry, tax, etc. It is a total nightmare, our system of buying a house in England is broken.
Thanks for watching! I am very glad that you like the suburban areas of Russia and this is a small village! These commemorative signs and the tank were not installed because of this particular place, but simply as a sign of respect for the historical moments of the country as a whole. In Russia, there is a tendency to erect monuments in the form of tanks or an eternal flame, or a monument in honor of the revolution, just out of respect for these events in general. Not because it was in this particular place. You can see the monument to Lenin, not because Lenin was there, it's just an element of culture. The USSR no longer exists, and there are still monuments to Lenin in every city, even in the smallest and provincial. The commemorative sign of 1966 is wheat. There are a lot of wheat fields in my region. About your question about buying a house. There is no need to pay tax when buying, the seller must pay the tax, not the one who buys. Regarding prices, in Russia it is very dependent on the region (Siberia, Moscow, North, South, etc.). Prices for everything vary greatly depending on the region, for food, transport, utilities, wages, etc. Everything is different in every region. I can orientate in my area. Prices for such houses depend on the condition and quality of the house, how much it is destroyed and suitable for life. There are ruined and badly dilapidated ones that can be bought for a pittance, and there are those that stand like an apartment in the city. But in this village (on average) a normal house suitable for habitation, with land for a vegetable garden, gas, water inside, costs about 1 million rubles. (maybe a little more, maybe a little less)
@@VolgaWalk Thank you so much for this information. I understand now about monuments. I thought some significant historical event happened in the region. And thank you about the info on land taxes. In our country it is called ‘stamp duty’. My brother has to pay around £3000 to the Government. So, a decent house similar to the ones in the video are around £100,000. I think I have converted it right. This is a good price. My brother’s new house (well a bungalow) cost £260,000, and it is not really in a posh area.
@@Zaptabby Not at all )) Hmm, I just looked at the value of the pound sterling against the ruble, it turns out that 1 ruble = 98 pounds. It is very expensive, more than the euro and the dollar. I think you have inflated the price of a house very much, if you count this price in pounds sterling, it turns out that 1 million rubles is approximately 10,000 pounds. Our real estate is not as expensive as in Europe. Especially in the outback)) Your brother's house is 26 times the price of those that you saw in the video))
@@VolgaWalk £10,000? That is incredibly cheap. Sorry I am rubbish at maths. I cannot believe this price! Now I am thinking, running costs, price of food and wages!
@@Zaptabby Yes, I'm not cheating. I'm talking about an average house, no frills, no pool, no banquet hall, no billiards and so on. Houses of this kind are of course much more expensive. So I found for you several real advertisements for the sale of houses in Rudna. You can see the photo, description of the house, and the price itself. It is even below 1 million rubles. www.avito.ru/volgogradskaya_oblast_rudnya/doma_dachi_kottedzhi/dom_60_m_na_uchastke_10_sot._2006051098 www.avito.ru/volgogradskaya_oblast_rudnya/doma_dachi_kottedzhi/dom_56_m_na_uchastke_13_sot._1949708738 www.avito.ru/volgogradskaya_oblast_rudnya/doma_dachi_kottedzhi/dom_642_m_na_uchastke_6_sot._2140324462
