Double trouble is only bad for XP, it's fun overall, both as a survivor and monster. As a survivor, it makes it so you can't just loop the monster infinitely, making the game more challenging and fun. And for monsters, you must work together to kill everyone, as you only get one minute and forty seconds.
As a lvl 58 exe player. here's a few tips to play as exe. Whenever you attack someone use too slow after hitting them they'll basically be at 5hp and have no where to go so you can kill them. Try to be strategic with traps place them in usually spots players go to or in tight corners or sections since they can't be able to go through since they'll have to accept their fate if you play smart unless if they try to remove it in time and try to be careful and not let players remove your traps that's why I usually go for the good players that know how to remove traps in my lobbies you can also place them on objectives also. Also whenever someone gets hit by the trap you get a speed boost and when you are chasing someone that's on low HP don't go for the trap if someone gets caught by the trap just keep chasing the player that is on low hp and you'll get a easy kill on them with the speed boost from the player getting caught by the trap since they can't outrun you from his speed boost he gets. Exe also has a passive to where he can highlight nearby players every 11 seconds so be strategic with that. I hope this helps. i will say dreyci, never use too slow to engage in chase the m1 + too slow combo insta bone breaks and its much better to do than just too slow cuz if you can land an m1 you can 100% land a too slow right after otherwise good gameplay (fogborn video next? he got buffed too and is extremely strong now)

EXE is finally good again. Extra speed and traps now kill are nice. Still can use traps as a way to catch but now at least you got a better chance at the chase.
Also EXE is a pretty balanced monster so you'll have to rely on skill and strategy(stuff like placing traps smartly and sneak attacking players) to kill good players
with exe there’s always one good hit combo, i always hit them with my normal attack first and then use too slow to get them bone broken, then i’m guaranteed a kill
