@@cyberjoe77 Yes! I heard the news. However, I did not receive the email that hundreds of other students received. I submitted the housing application on December 29, so I’m hoping all of this indicates that I’ll be assigned housing on July 7 :)
Aww Paramita thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed this video! That’s awesome that you’re applying to UTampa next year! Let me know if you have any questions about the University of Tampa or college in general! Thanks for commenting!
Hey Koko Koko! Aww thanks! I’ll try my best to make one! I’ve never lived off campus, so my knowledge is limited, but I’ll do the best I can for you!! Also, I love your name!!
I got accepted to UT but I'm kinda on the fence about going here because I've never lived in an actual big city before. Is there a lot to do on campus and around the city? Do you feel safe on and around the school? And, what do you think are best housing buildings to live in? Hope you see this and thank you in for the videos on UT!! :)
Thank you for watching my videos! I'm glad they're helpful! Congrats on getting accepted into UT too. That's so great! I feel totally safe on campus. Even at night, I feel like I can walk out and about safely. As a freshman, the best dorm would probably be either McKay, Smiley, Vaughn, or Morsani. They're all pretty good honestly. Austin Hall is the only one I'd say isn't the greatest because of the stories I've heard and that we mentioned in this video. Off campus, The Henry is really nice but really expensive haha. There's a lot to do and get involved in on campus if you make the effort, but there's not a whole lot to do in the city if you don't have a car. Hope this helps!
@@JaredKauffman Thank you so much for responding!! I am currently in between FGCU and UT. My top school is UCF but they haven't gotten back to me yet so I think I will most likely go to UT because it does seem like such a great place. Thank you again for all the advice!!
Hey Erik! Yeah, it’s a pretty crazy situation right now isn’t it?? This has never happened before during my time at UT, and I have never heard of it happening before. It may have, but I don’t think so. Honestly, I’m with a lot of people who say that this is really uncalled for. The school should be able to house everyone, and if they don’t have the space, don’t accept more students into the school. What about you? What are your thoughts?
I honestly just don’t want to be homeless 😭 I don’t understand why it hasn’t been addressed directly and being out of state, there is so much uncertainty now. Most of us have already turned down other colleges/scholarships so we really don’t have anywhere else to go.
@@erikperez791 Yes Erik!! I know dude, it’s really tough and really unfortunate that the school did this and isn’t addressing it to everyone. They’ll have to at some point, because it’s really uncalled for and it’s going to leave such a bad reputation. If there’s anything I can do to help, I’ll try my best to do it! Shoot me a DM on Instagram if you need help with anything! My Instagram is above in the description. I think the school will provide something for everyone who is in this situation. They really have to.
Well, since you’ve already experienced college a little, I’d just really recommend being intentional with finding a group of friends to surround yourself with. We’re finally back to in person everything, so it’s a weird feeling to have to fully socialize again. But, having the right community is KEY. I’d also recommend just finding something to keep you motivated because I’m honestly not feeling super motivated this semester already. UT is a beautiful place so that’s exciting that you’re thinking about transferring!! Hope this helps!!
Hahah! Regardless of the potential roaches, you’ll love UT if you’re intentional and make the most of it! Hopefully you’re roommates are friends you’ll be able to bond with!! Excited for you to experience UTampa!! Woohooo!!
Hey hey Raquel!! I actually have a close friend at UT who is a senior in the nursing program! Unfortunately, I am not at school for the summer so I can only show you a good tour in like August! Sorry!! I can answer any questions you might have about the nursing program though if you’d like!! 😊
So excited for spring to come already!!
Yessss Kiana! Woohooo!
Such a beautiful campus! Can’t wait to live there ❤️
Yesss!! So excited for you Melissa!! Thanks for commenting 😊😊
Be aware housing is very limited. News reports indicated there are not enough dorms for incoming freshmen. If that’s your situation.
