    At the beginning on January I decided on a whim to take CAE exam in mid February. For 7 weeks I focused solely on preparation. I passed with grade B, C1, 199 points 💪 I took a long break from studying. All together around 5 weeks. Now, I’m going strong on my Brazilian Portuguese:) I feel like I’m ready to simply maintain my level on English with a clean conscious, and focus on Portuguese. I live in New Zealand currently with my Brazilian husband, and I’m Polish ;)

      Congrats on passing the exam, must feel like such a weight off your shoulders! So you guys are learning each other's languages then? Cuute!

      @@tbenavente Yes, we do :) We use mostly English between us, but our goal is Polish-Portuguese household:) We’ll stay in NZ for another year, and then we move to another country. After reaching strong B1 level in Portuguese, I plan to start Russian.

    I really want to study Japanese and Chinese, but since I'm already studying Spanish (and maintaining my English - I'm Brazilian), I chose to just study Spanish this year.
    I've improved a lot; consuming content in Spanish is not hard for me, so I spent around 60 hours watching UA-cam videos and listening to podcasts.
    My goal now is to start reading and writing more - I already speak while watching videos or randomly during the day.

      Go for it! I don't do it with other types of texts because I never go back to revise my notes after, but songs are an exception because if I like a song I will listen to it for years

      Haha, I might have influenced more than a couple of people to get an iPad for language learning or studying in general 😅 No one has complained yet, and the best thing is that even the cheapest model will work great!

    I LOVE Language Transfer and I’m so glad you tried it! I had the same experience with the French course and it actually motivated me to learn French again! I’ve been way more consistent in learning French! I wasn’t even really learning it before 😅
    I was also skeptical of it at first, but I’m so glad I gave it a try! Haha

    Hi Tanya, love your videos! You've given me a lot of ideas for my own language studies 😄 I just wanted to ask about the novel you've started in Italian, you said you're reading it with LingQ and wondered how you imported it? Thanks in advance!

    • @tbenavente
      @tbenavente  Рік тому +1

      Hi! When you open LingQ on your computer, there's a plus icon in the top right corner. Click it and choose "import ebook" and then choose an ebook that is one of the supported formats. LingQ will break it down into smaller chunks ("lessons") and create a "course" based on the book.

    • @tbenavente
      @tbenavente  Рік тому +4

      So I use TogglTrack to track my studies and they present your data as graphs/pie charts, so you don't even have to do anything extra besides tracking your study time. But, for more customization, I exported my data from Toggl as a .csv file, put it in Google Spreadsheets and just tweaked some settings like colors/fonts a little bit to create the pie charts you see in the video
