The Diddy line is SO misunderstood. When Em says the "hit" that got Pac killed, he's referring to the "hit" record called Hit 'Em Up by Tupac. Diddy gave that track the okay for release back in the day, it became a "hit" record and is arguably what caused the beef between Pac and Biggie to boil over and Pac get killed. He is not saying Diddy ordered a hit on Pac.

All this started in 1998. Canibus thought that Em helped LL write his diss track for Canibus. He even called Em to a video recording to talk to him. Em said he didn't write it and said that him and Canibus should do a project together. Canibus rudly declined. Once Em got signed and his album dropped then Canibus tried contacting many times and sent him a song he made with 2 verses and Em would have to fill in his verse but Em didn't like it and declined. Canibitch got pissed lol
But the real answers we need is like L said, were those letters real? Cause I saw a video doing a real thorough job on analyzing 'Stan" and the connection it has lyrically with the whole Canibus situation.

Yes that's how it started. Bis invited Em to the set and wyclef and bis both asked em separately if he ghostwrote for LL. Em told them no but hed be down for working with canibus and canibus told him "I don't know you so no." Then a year or so later canibus apologized to Em for how he acted and asked him if he still wanted to work with him. Em said yes and then canibus sent him the phuk you track which em didn't like so he turned it down. This is what set canibus off and why he started dissing Em. These 2 have been beefing for over a decade and there are several tracks involved. And yes, canibus reportedly did write several letters to Em as well as had a whole blog talking about Em under a pseudonym. The dude made like an entire album in the character of stan and canibus actually thought stan was about him bc of the letters he had sent Em.

Canibus wasn't taking Em seriously because he was white and because he wasn't spitting straight lyrics the way most MCs was. Em came for the jugular from the start, and I think that's why he got him so quickly, Canibus was behind from the start. I think this would have gone back and forth like Bus' beef with LL if he'd come straight on that first track.

Latter Canibus came to him with a beat and Em said he didn't like the beat, but wanted to do a track on a different beat with him. Canibus took it the wrong way then released the beat under the song title "fuck you" which is more of a straight diss to EM. Em has answered him back in a few verses usually showing some respect while dissing him even in this song "You bastard I didn't want to have to diss you, Canibus where the fuck you at I miss you"
