What I find so fascinating about this process, particularly with these older horses who seem to "know their job", is that when they are actually given a right to choose, to speak with their voice, they begin by wanting to run away. It's as if, since it's the first time they've been asked for their opinion, they're jolly well going to give it. To then watch them come to cooperate out of free will is absolutely precious. Thank you Mia
Jake is a very handsome older gentleman & quite sweet!!(I love it bc Jake is my brother’s name😅)I so enjoy getting to see the many different wonderful horses & humans you helped,I look forward to each new series. He clearly loves people & wants to please his human is equally as lovely as he is this one really made me smile especially the beginning as he came to the camera person and was like “oh hi nice to meet you, cuddles please”😄🐎🤍🤗
Mia gave me back my beautiful boy! He has been a joy ever since her visit and we have been able to progress to showing. We do a lot of liberty work now and trick training. We ride with the cordeo, too. I never thought I would feel this safe with Jake. He has become so trusting of our relationship that when we were confronted with gun shots during a ride, he looked to me for guidance instead of bolting. Mia is a miracle worker!
I once had an aggressive client who thought my horse had been abused because she wouldn't let him catch her, but she was just messing with him. Totally having fun. Just like Jake.
Wonderful as always. I wish I was younger and still had my horses. Actually, that is not true. The climate is so changed and hay is getting harder to find and more expensive every year. I think I wish I had seen your work when I did have horses in the 80s and 90s. I did not use any saddle but did ride with a bit only because I didn't have enough trust in myself to communicate. I remember thinking the horse would go the right direction just by leaning and touching the neck but I never had enough faith. I missed so much. I think I did give my horses a very good life filled with adventures and I did trust enough to let my second horse run free with no ropes. I know I saw a lot more personality by seeing them be free like that. I would swap back and forth and stay out in the Kootenay Mountains of BC Canada for hours and hours. I also had wolves with us and they always kept the bears and elk away. Wolves are a special wonder and so misunderstood. We were the top of the food chain when we rode. It was a very wonderful feeling. Those wolves could smell my pheromones and so recognized my family members before they had ever met them. So incredible!
Are there any videos of horses never ridden? I love seeing these and wanted to know if you have any of young horses who have never held a rider? Many thanks
@@elainelange6344 Thank you. That's wonderful. I have been incorporating Mia's methods with ours here and it is incredible for our young horses. So life changing for all. :)
He's GORGEOUS!! 💖💖 Elaine has done so amazing with him! And Mia's work is remarkable, wow!

Jake seems a little headstrong and goofy. He's lovely and I enjoyed the video
I love seeing a horse that has obviously been treated kindly by humans. He’s a wonderful boy.
Mia is the best :]

It's wonderful watching Mia work and I really appreciate the info on banners filling us in with what is going on.
I’ve watched all your videos and still learn things every time. Thanks for filming your interesting and effective approach to horses.

While at my farm with Jake, Mia also worked with Midnight, who had not been ridden.

She's a bit old to start trying to talk to her horse. But kudos for trying lady.
