Sir, you just brought me back to the days of pan frying and grilling steaks when my kids were still young! Thank you for bringing me back to where family was still important. And, you are right, its not the seasoning its the cooking!

Chief, you're the bomb on the grill as well as the kitchen. I try to make the rubs, as they have seasonings I like in it. I don't eat a lot of salt so that was refreshing to hear you say -no salt added-.. your salads look Great and I try to mimic them with what I have here, and it's good. Keep on keeping on chief because we need to cook good food more healthily in my house.

Man, when I saw them cooking up in the pan and the grill, I thought "no way, those are going to be so overcooked!" But just like every time, you bring them in, cut into them, and they look perfect. This is very different technique for cooking steaks than my usual method, but I would love to try them. Will have to give it a go myself. Thanks again for all these mouthwatering videos you create.

Lard my friend. Butter would burn. The smoke point on butter is very low so you can't give it that heat it will burn.

When you say cook over fire do you mean direct heat as in cooking over charcoal and mesquite?
